Who told you about idol worshipping. The idols are not worshipped. They are like software drivers or kernel of a computer program. The hardware and the software need a point of contact to get data or info back and forth. The idols are the configuration required for the respected demi Gods to interface. So destroying those idols are like destroying a mobile phone handset. The spirit still lives and when the required configuration is set up, the spirit will be up for action. Please he is really up in age. The spirit given to us by God Most High goes back to Him. They can only destroy the spirit due to the person's relationship with God Most High. Lucifer Satan comes to steal, kill and destroy. Satan steals first the soul which is the mind that is thoughts or thinking. Then comes the body ,which is the physical body where the behavior and character is displayed being used by Lucifer Satan. This is the time the stolen soul dies and doesn't have any difference between good and evil. The person then dies both physically and spiritually where our Heavenly Father will take the spirit and kills it. He God Most High is the only One who can kill the spirit.
