Il va pensiero non è solo una canzone dolce e malinconica, ma anche un inno molto forte di un popolo oppresso. Verdi la scrisse durante l'occupazione austriaca prima ancora dell'unità italiana. Il va pensiero divenne a quei tempi un inno patriottico. 🇮🇹 Molto bello portarlo alla gente fa venire i brividi.

to all the people who dont understand the meaning of this aria by verdi , its about freedom and against tyranny and corruption of government to control ones lives. this was beautifully done im a spaniard and understand this aria very well because the world is suffering and we need a verdi piece.

Beautifully sang and presented. This is Verdi's most celebrated piece of music from opera 'NABUCCO' Most sang and most celebrated. Truly amazing people presenting truly artistic and heart touching. I like presence of children. I think girl who missed train was lucky. It was worth missing.
