In stressful situations such as Betty and Barney went through, it is very difficult to have a consistent memory, partly because every person reacts differently to the situation.

I agree whole heartedly. On they had different time when they saw the craft but even if you are not under stress the stories change. Think about the child's game telephone and the big tall tales and families telling stories about when they grew up differed from a sibling who was there at the time. And we want someone under extreme stress to have every detail correct?! PLEEASE

Never got to meet Benny and wonder why he would bother showing up at your stupid Jr. High...makes no sense. Dude was making bank and a playboy of sorts by that time, landing tons of hot pussy thanks to his show and certainly way better things to deal with on his plate than showing up at some kids school. My late friend Buz Sawyer was the chief of police in Newton NH, he knew them, and when Betty and Barney got home, he was the very first call they made. He says they were very very serious, very shaken, and he knew them to be honest and somber. He told them to call the air force base. I don't recall if it was Hanscom, Pease, or Westover. Aliens: “We always find those we want to” Also aliens: “What is age? How long do people live? What are years? What is squash? What is yellow?” There ain’t no way a real space faring civilisation wouldn’t know what years is because it’s literally based on the solar system I'm pretty sure that aliens exist but this abduction story is hella fake. These would be the dumbest space faring aliens that would exist. Whatever info they were trying to get probably doesn't require an abduction. And even if they did decide an abduction it should have been quick easy and the humans wouldn't know. You probably even havent thought of the fact that by interacting with humans, they're bringing bacteria and viruses to their ship that they don't have antibodies for and could kill them. The other way goes too for the humans.

I wasn't going out of my way but I'm sure I poked fun at someone at some point. I was demoted on School Patrol for telling the 1st & 2nd grade kids about it in route to the intersection- one of the elite School Patrol routes. I saw rows of huge trees lining the road in the middle of the desert where there were no trees, I heard music that wasn’t playing, and I thought something I’m the sky was following me, it was the moon. My concept of time was complete gone. I was able to figure out that it was lack of sleep. But I can see how driving late at night and not sleeping can cause one to really lose touch with reality.

If you had lived in the area where they were abducted you would know there’s an area called UFO alley with the second most documented UFO incidents in the world, featuring the testimony and on duty reports of dozens of police officers. I lived there and there was plenty of horrific shit in the sky and I’m a trained observer. They were an interracial couple who didn’t want to draw attention to themselves and had strong ptsd which cannot be replicated without serious trauma. It’s physically impossible. Just because you’ve never seen a ufo doesn’t mean you can shoot your mouth off like a fool who has never studied the subject. People join abduction support groups and go to therapists whose specialty is abductions. Although you might like to think we are galactic rockstars and there’s no one else out there, you are hubristic and short sighted in not studying extremophiles and other rugged forms of life that show that life pervades the cosmos. Life lives inside of rocks with no oxygen sealed inside rocks for eternity and living. Life is found everywhere, even in solid blocks of ice inside glaciers. I have seen horrific things in the sky in UFO alley with dozens of witnesses. Sending us running to the car and flooring it for miles to get to where people are and to get inside. There’s a world you are ignorant of and the British and American governments have already declassified not only UFO sightings by on duty military officers but video footage and thermal imaging footage. You are way behind the times. They also have disclosed the existence of exotic technology not from this earth and declassified the rendelsham forest incident where and entire rotation of on duty personnel physically touched an alien craft in Britain and inspected it and took notes, and had interactions with multiple craft over two separate nights starting in December 26,1980. You also are ignorant of the government disclosing that UFOs intercepted live nuclear missile tests on video and disarmed the warheads while flying at 17,000 mph in lower space and then shut down nuclear missile bases all across the Midwest repeatedly for years. You don’t read. How bout the Russians who already had first contact in Voronezh and Saint Petersburg during a 2 year period of activity, i which time nearly 800 people interacted with extraterrestrials and a robot in close proximity. The Russian government contacted the US because it was so serious and because of tight asses like you, the US didn’t take Russians investigation seriously.

New Hampshire has had a number of intriguing ufo incidents over the years. Several years after the alleged abduction of the Hills, there were a number of sightings in Exeter, NH, where a teenaged guy and two policemen observed a hovering ufo at close range. In addition, in Goffstown, NH in 1973, a local resident observed two apparent ufo occupants, walking in front of his house and gathering plants and other items. PS In the book, “Captured,” authors Kathleen Marden (Betty’s niece) and the late Stanton Friedman wrote that Betty Hill had told them that the ETs smelled like marigolds, an unpleasant smelling flower. Maybe Betty should have told those ETs, that they might want to try some Ban Deodorant the next time they abducted someone?

The dog deserved better credits than "hiding". I think they should have altered the interracial deal - w/Betty being Black ('Black Betty- Bam-A-Lam Whaoh, Black Betty') as it sounds better & it's accurate in a few 'short' years by Ram Jam though was first by Leadbelly & Barney: Fife (as well as the other example given: Rubble, Esq. The title to be granted by the Knights of Malta later on.

No mention of the strong, strong, strong resemblance to suppressed/retrieved memories of childhood nocturnal sexual abuse. This has been noted about alien abduction since - as an explanation for a fairly common belief in abduction, the isolation and embarrassment about it, the typical scenarios of utter helplessness and omnipotent beings, the ambivalent feelings about abductors and the damaging liberties they typically take with privacy and intimacy, often the story is that abduction has been repeated and started during childhood creating a "marked" person in diverse ways. Relational/sexual difficulties, being bullied, disbelieved, sexually exploited or self-exploiting-self-destructive behaviours, unexplained pregnancies, very, very nasty accounts of "disappeared" foetuses, called a "nutter" for eccentricities etc. are typical but - not always. Criminal psychopathic repetition happens too but - not always. Some seem to be more or less unscathed. The idea of being sought or "chosen as suitable" by abducting aliens is also a hallmark. Those that have been abused in infancy have "buttons" that can be pushed to render them helpless whereas a tiny grey man made of pasta messing with a different adult would soon find him/herself carted off to the zoo and probably have a new a*sehole as well. That's a very, very difficult thing. One would not (I hope) suggest to an abductee that they are really screen memories of their family but the similarities are very, very striking and impossible to rule out as an explanation. The "Dracula" with his evil power to seduce also looks like an allegory for inescapable sexual abuse by a trusted and loved one. A horror story that resonates everywhere in much the same way. Such abuse isn't easily quantified. Sigmund Freud was one of the earliest to suggest that it is much, much more common than anyone wants to believe and it's since understood to be hidden by shame, undeserved guilt and suppression of memory until (often) into middle or later life - many abused literally not knowing until well into adulthood - and the surrounding unwillingness to acknowledge it. So far, alien abduction isn't revealing very much evidence at all. That's significant and would suggest other explanations. Freud was urged not to publish his findings that sexual abuse of children isn't rare. Today, we can check with country-wide self-help groups and various national resources. It's a socially significant incidence.

Well if it really did occur, it's reasonable to believe that Betty if she suffered radiation or other types of things that touched her may have effected her mind, and memory and at some point could explain he loosing touch with reality to some point. Or she gained some insight that we don't understand. As a retired law enforcement officer of 44 years I have found many actual and factually things after looking at a crime scene or other stories told me of rational people that didn't appear rational at all in the beginning but later on did. Other times did not. I always kept an open mind and considered all the normal possibilities and jump out of the shoebox often to find the truth if it could be found. I never bring criticism, simply because I don't understand something. I find out all I can and pan for gold...the golden nuggets of truth. And run things through the mill and only then do I offer a criticism of a constructive type or I say it's a no go based on factually correct evidence.. If I can not get to the facts then I say it appears more one way than the other but no certainty

Here's something interesting to consider. A lifeform that evolved around another star may not share our same band of visible light, dogs evolved here, are mammals like us, and see in a different method using only two colors. Insects can see UV light. There is little reason to suspect that the colors an alien civilization used would appear uniform to us, in a similar way that parts of your clothes glow under a black light and others don't.

Yes, all species are uploaded into the holosphere with specific DNA that allows us to see our own reality. Whatever will guide us into survival. Because dogs "see" in smell... elephants hear in infrasound... whales see in sonar... This means there is no one reality, but billions upon billions of perspectives. An alien evolutional track will mean that their perception is totally different. They seem to all have psychic abilities, so they did evolve much differently in their own environment.

All of mankind's ancient religious texts, around the globe, speak of the "Watchers" that we've been encountering for thousands of years... they're painted on the walls of the caves we used to live in. I think there is a good bit of circumstantial evidence to suggest that humans have been interacting with these "Watchers" for a very long time. @@hihihihigihihihihhihhi I don't totally disagree with you here, but it's worth pointing out that convergent evolution is a thing. Sharks, dolphins, and ichthyosaurs all evolved the same basic body plan because it works well for their shared lifestyle. This conversation is proof that the humanoid body plan works for a sentient life form's needs, so it's entirely possible that someone else out there evolved along the same lines. And we don't actually have any clue what is and is not likely where alien life is concerned. The idea that it would be wildly different from us is no more or less valid than the idea that it would be very similar. We simply can't know until we find another inhabited planet to study. 2 reasons I believe this story is, Betty and Barney were an interracial couple in 1961, when it was illegal in over 31 states and was very frowned upon and even dangerous in some parts, so why would they want to draw even more negative attention onto themselves. In fact, there relationship was even less common, as it was usually a white man and black woman that were more common in interracial relationships. The second reason I believe them is, on top of the risk of being persecuted, they also could have easily been put in the looney bin, and it would have been prejudice too. I just think there were more risks and that it wouldn’t have been worth it if it were fake.

I used to work safety with a guy in North Charleston, South Carolina at Detyens Shipyard for a coatings subcontractor who was originally from New Hampshire. Barney and Betty Hill were his babysitters growing up. When he told us, that was the first time I’d ever heard of the couple. I just happened to come across this video, and it sparked my memory from a few years back when he told us this at work. I’ll have to reconnect with him to verify that this was the couple, but I recall the conversation well and I don’t know of anyone else it could be. Very interesting stuff.

UFOs have always had this weird blend of tech levels, futuristic blended with seemingly primitive. You could rationalize explanations for it. Maybe it's just a matter of preference, or maybe simple is more idiot proof and less prone to malfunction. I do think there's merit to the theory that there's an element of performance to all of this, that the aliens (or whatever these entities are) deliberately structure their appearances and activities to communicate something to the witness. Using tech a '60s human would recognize and understand would play into that.

Jerry, I’m not convinced anyone ever went to the moon. But it is a curiosity that if the had, why no other explorations?

@@sherryceltic9856you’re not convinced of something thoroughly proven to have happened and you yourself at home can prove? If you cough up a few hundred you can buy advanced laser pointers that you can bounce off reflective surfaces placed on the moon when we first landed there.

@@sherryceltic9856we haven’t gone again bc it’s vastly more expensive and resource consuming than the basic space travel we do currently around the atmosphere

@@zzodysseuszz bro what??? A few hundred is a massive understatement in fact I think that's the biggest understatement I've ever heard lmao 384,000 km is the distance that few hundred dollar laser would have to travel

Excellent video! I wonder if you’ve had the opportunity to listen to any of the tapes of the Hills’ hypnosis sessions. They’re pretty convincing

Great documentary.👍 The skeptic in me questions why the ship is all so human, as if designed or imagined by us. It has tables, stools, ladders and levers, and they use syringes, wear jackets and even have books.

I've been on that same route many times over the years. It's a very ominous stretch of road. Especially when driving at night. Particularly the area near the "Old man of the mountain" I always got weird vibes goin thru that part of N.H. Not sure why.

Have you always known about the story and think that's why or maybe there's an unusual amount of energy like magnetic waves or something sounds like there's definitely some sort of energy in that area that raises the hair on ppls necks

I drive the route often when driving back home to visit. I always feel strange going through Thorton. It's not unusual to see no cars for miles.

I think the context of the time period they lived in is more important to this story than discussed in this video. They were an interracial couple in America in 1961. Is it possible that they were victims of government experimentation? We know that for a fact that the FBI sent threatening letters to Martin Luther King jr years after this incident, trying to get him to unalive himself. This incident fits within the time period of MKUltra experiments by the CIA. Maybe someone was following them and slipped LSD into their food or drinks at the diner they stopped at.
