Small nit pick at around in regards to the decompilation: Payment information: The payment information isnt actually accessible in discord (and isnt being sent in the rat), it is only sent whether or not you have payment info attached to your discord account. Login Data: Theres a good chance that your credit card is in your chrome or firefox login information in addition to passwords, so even tho your discord payment info is safe, if you have your payment info saved to quick fill in firefox/chrome, you should see your credit/debit cards compromised and contact your bank. IP Address: I think calling a leaked IP address scary is very misleading. A home IP address cannot be used to deduce your exact location, at best it can narrow it down to a city. That might still be scary to you, but hackers wont be finding out your home address with this. In addition to this, your IP address can actually change a lot (for example restarting your router has a high chance of resetting your IP), and (unless you manually enabled port forwarding in your router) is very unlikely to be used to hack you. **IF YOU JUST GOT SCAMMED**: BE AWARE OF FOLLOW UP SCAMS. The ratters now know your email, your name, your bank, it is really easy for them to send your for example an email that looks like it was sent by your bank, or your school, or your workplace. If you just got ratted, be hyper aware of those follow up scams, because they can be just as harmfull as a rat if you arent prepared. Also, Regarding the webhook: Discord allows for people who can send to a webhook to also delete it (discord.com/developers/docs/resources/webhook#delete-webhook-with-token requires the token and id, just like sending messages to a webhook does), so a lot of people who are knowledgable about rats will find these webhooks and delete them, to save other people from the rat, which is probably what happened to your webhook.

I infact do think hypixel can do something to prevent ratting to some extent. They can add like some setting that allows you to set a password that you would have to type in every time you log on.

Hypixel in general has become a cesspool of scams , toxicity and a bad environment in general

There are so much ways to scam in skyblock. I have never thought that while playing a game for fun you have to worry about so many things like atacks from scamers/hackers. Skyblock is showing the people how dangerous the world can be. Skyblock is so much than an game which makes it so in intriguing. No matter what is the channel’s idea (like afking here), these videos help a lot the community. Also Detective Mr. Sample has the drip boyyy, but nothing is so important to put pants.

Wow, just wow. I remember watching his channel and being in his discord and I never knew this happened. I also gave him like 3m in contraband when I was in strong armor so it meant a lot to mean back then. I really feel so bad now, but all I can think is that oh, how the mighty have fallen. Edit: Also I was a friend with one of Fresh's admins on his server, they quit a while ago though. Another thing is that the only video he had that was good (His zealot farming video) was good because it was not toxic and that was because he was hiding his attitude. In his streams he would constantly ask for contraband and appears to have played the youtube game not because he aspired to entertain or educate people but rather to advance his skyblock profile, and it showed.

I actually ran into a guy like that before. I just noticed now that he was most likely a person trying to get me to download a rat, he said he cracked a auction house flipper and how auction house flippers work. He also told me about his real life problemes and we talked about stuff for about half an hour and at some point told me how good ah flippers are and how i should DEFINTLY download one which i declined it which i think was the right choice in hindsight. its so scary how much information you can extract with so little actual work. thanks for the video, I enjoyed it! keep it up!

As a small Skyblock youtuber that actually hurts, but there will nonetheless be scumbags in the community. Coming from the 2b2t community previously I was debating making a video about ratting but I decided not to because I didn't think it would get any traction and I already saw that another youtuber video on it. I'm really glad that finally a larger youtuber is making this a more public problem as more people should know about it. I got sent a rat like the other day in Skyblockz I didn't think they still did that lol. Anyways great video more people should know about this major problem in the community. Unfortunately the hypixel team is still doing nothing besides banning and wiping some ratters when they eventually get caught but it happens way to late I mean they already stole like 20b then you finally ban them this should be their top priority right now which is just disappointing when they don't make any public warnings or announcements or at least just say they are trying to do something.

A few months back I was ratted, profile was deleted, posted my passwords on a website, including my full name and ip. Really sucks but I'm glad that you're spreading awareness as I never knew that mods like this existed. It was a real scare when the hacker called my cell. Luckily I was able to get my Minecraft Account back and now I don't even save passwords on my phone. Had to throw out hard drive and completely replace it. Thanks for the breakdown of the code, especially, really helped me understand what these horrible people are doing on skyblock. :)

I found a rat once... The mod was real but it was locked behind a paywall so I knew it was a scam.

you do not have any idea how horrible the people who make these rats are. as a "mod" developer i've had my reputation destroyed because of people taking my mod and adding malicious code to it.

I got my account hacked and most of my items stolen but I am most worried about non Minecraft stuff thank you for making a video on this, (NotEnoughPing was the one who ratted me) it is a good wake up to reality on how dangerous doing stuff online can be.

I actually found a rat server once, a bot sent me an invite link to a scam server that advertised the rat and used some pretty clever ways to get people to download it. It looked really legit and I could see why the average skyblock player could fall for it. I messaged as many people as possible in that server and many of them would've fallen for it if I hadn't messaged them, just shows how bad the situation is, there was even a person who didn't believe me and refused to listen to me, which is sad but it's their fault, couldn't really help them.

Restarting Minecraft and joining a server resets your Session ID. Just restart your game without the used mod before going offline. (remove from mods folder) Thank me later.

Me and a group of people ratted most of his Discord account and he spammed all of us on discord that he will get all of us banned etc because he has contacts with SBZ staff. Sad to see him this way. All just because his coop kicked him bc he wasnt very nice and helpfull to them

Very helpful video for people, I got ratted somehow about 2 weeks ago and lost about 1300 hours of work i skyblock but i still have no idea how it happend since i havent downloaded anything or clicked on any links i did contact hypixel staff about this but they told me they can't really do anything about it i feel like if hypixel just rolled back the people who got ratted and have proof that they did this would be a lot less bad

A little bit ago (before levelfresh hit 100 subs) I was a head admin on his discord and I called him out for irl trading in his server and then banned me but I had friends in that server and an alt that kept me updated and I also was talking with armen about this and I had never really trusted him but when he sent me the mod (hadn't spoken to him in months) and he just randomly dmed me so I'm quite happy that armen had dmed me before I even bothered

I actually got hacked due to this reason. I am still constantly paranoid my account is accessible to the hacker even though I changed all my passwords and deleted the files

that levelfresh kid joined exotic cafe ages ago and was super poor on sb, just some random non, wouldve never expected this to come of him

When your minecraft token (Session ID) gets stolen changing your password doesn't help, your token will be active for 24 hours iirc so you basically gotta stay on the server and log the hacker out when he tries to log you, also for the keywords to search for, getSession is a very useful one

I never download or click on Any links from people but still this is so informative for everyone even me and we need as many people to see this video.

I'm considering setting up a discord aimed at catching macroers, cheaters and hackers where people can report people so other people can avoid these scams and also a way of donating to people who can prove the were hacked :)

Yep I remember a person (they were 2 friends) contacting me for making a discord webhook mod which turned out they were tricking me in making a mc token grabber and a discord grabber. Thankfully I found what they wanted. Happy to reject it and now I am also trying to protect people from it (:

A month ago someone told me that they made 100m from a ah flipping mod and then he sent me the download link and I said no I’m fine and then this video came out so I decided to check out the link but I didn’t download it but I used virustotal and it had 4 viruses in it. Someone also did this to me about a year ago and the next day all my accounts were gone and one of my games that I spent 3,000 hours in they deleted the profile and I was so mad and I just quit like half my games and they even stole my old channel which I spent so much time on getting at least 10 viewers but thanks for you making this video you are probably gonna save a lot of people from losing their accounts.

Had an online friend (key word had) that ratted people, a summary of his justification is: "If people are ignorant enough to download and run a random jar file, they deserve it." And, "It'll teach them a lesson, it's better they learn from experience from something like this and not something far worse in their future. It's a win for me and teaches them something" I saw where he was coming from, but like I told him, there are better ways to get money and teach people about cyber security than this, he didnt really care, and now we don't talk. Ironically he got ratted a few weeks back, he didn't really seem to care about it though strangely enough, but I can confirm he did get ratted, I still wonder about that.
