"Mae started the fire, and everyone was lost." This is not a lie. Its a statement based in partial truth but omits details for the one listening to come to their own false assumptions. Very clever.

It did look scary, though. Which is another example of Sol acting out of fear. It is also the time he attacked an un-armed person that was mentioned from the first episode..

I felt like Sol reacted to Aniseya turning into smoke as some form of trying to secret Osha away, or maybe harm her. The sequence has her turning into smoke, then we see it happening to Mae (Sol still thinks she's Osha at this point), then we see Sol look and see "Osha" turning, then he draws his saber and turns back to Aniseya. In hindsight it's an over-reaction and he is immediately struck by that, but I think it was borne out of being protective.

From what I saw, when Mae came out and cried for help, Aniseya seemed to be about to merge with Mae to help her, but Sol misunderstood, and stabbed her.

Vergence is a term used in phantom menace, when qui gon talk about anakin to the council.
@coreyschleder8418
@coreyschleder8418 Ай бұрын
Ani was a vergence centered around a person, which was unique. But (I can't remember if this is now Legends or not) but the pit on Degobah is also one. Presumably the one on Luke's world as well. I don't think the girl's are the vergence here. I suspect it centers around that tree. But it's the presence that allowed whoever helped Anisaya to create them.

@@philippegohier6992 Hm. That's an interesting theory that I hadn't even thought of. Lucas was very specific on that race being a mystery. Having them be produced by, or as a, vergence could be a thing for them.

@MACReact, 6:20 Keep in mind that he witnessed Osha being distressed, that's what has changed his mood from the start of the episode to this point in the story. 7:38 We all were, but was he wrong? More importantly, were his actions his own doing, or was he influenced? 7:57 Mother Aniseya put fear in him. Before he was just a homesick Jedi who wanted to go home, but now he's a scared homesick Jedi who wants to go home. We saw how he acted when he assumed Sol told them of the cult Force users he encountered--we could hear the trepidation in his voice when he assumed that Sol came across Nightsisters. 8:06 Why is Sol drawn to Osha? I can't help but feel that he's being inadvertently influenced to act. We were told why he didn't have a padawan, at which point, he wasn't set on having one; he was a Jedi master who was just doing his job. I can't help but feel that two people who deep down wanted something connected through the Force. 8:40 Torbin wants to get off this world, and it just so happens that the thing the Jedi were sent to discover just became clear. Mother Aniseya's actions inadvertently made this moment happen! Torbin wants to get off this world with mind-manipulating witches more than ever. 8:55 Overbearing mom, Mother Koril, made the situation worse by pushing Mae to do the worst thing possible. I get it, she wants to protect her children and her coven, but surely we can all agree that what she was doing here was manipulative and wrong. 8:46 Osha is "the girl" to this coven. Mother Koril disapproves of Osha's inability to channel the Force like Mae can. Mother Aniseya, while affectionate, wasn't affectionate enough for Osha. THIS is why Osha was outside the compound sitting under the Bunta tree. She wanted to be somewhere that she could practice the Force without people judging her and comparing her to Mae. Osha didn't snap at Mae because she thought Mae was going to kill that color bird-like creature, but because Mae, yet again, was showing her up. Mae was doing what Osha wanted to do, and she was doing it with ease--did you see the focus she had? Mae had showed her up for the last time, and that is why Osha expressed wanting to be something else and away from Brendok. She was tired of being number two to her sister and being reminded of it by her Mother Koril and coven. Last episode, we heard Qimir correct Osha when she stated that her former master Sol was powerful in the Force and that he would find--he told Osha that that was her power in the Force! He also told Osha how to channel the Force using the techniques typically associated to the Dark Side, fear, and anger...isn't that what Osha was feeling when Mae showed her up?! Her mothers snapped at her and she was being judged by her coven when she and Mae were sent to their rooms. I think Osha inadvertently made a connection to Sol through the Force--she wanted to be away from all this and he wanted a padawan. 10:11 Two parents at an impasse, both make equally bad decisions at this moment. 10:51 Mae asks for her, and what do her mothers do? They make the situation worse! Mother Koril draws her weapon and points it at the Jedi. Mother Aniseya turns into a black cloud and begins drawing Mae into her! I'm not saying Sol made the right choice here, but how was he supposed to interpret what was happening here? Mae asked for help, and her mothers ignored her! Worse still, one mother was pulling Mae's essence into herself! Sol's knowledge of witches coupled with Mother Aniseya's previous attack on Torbin made him act in the manner that he did in that moment. 11:14 She should have led with that ='( Everything around said an attack was taking place. Aside from the mothers standing before them, he and Torbin were surrounded by witches above them who had their weapons trained on them =/ 11:30 Sol is totally wrecked by how he misread the situation. He didn't want this, but his hand was forced ='( he genuinely thought Mae (though he said Osha) was in danger. Everything around him screamed danger ='( 14:09 The beauty of this story is that no side is right in this moment. The Jedi and the witches made equally bad decisions, but I still think Sol wasn't acting of his own free will. Osha and Mae were groomed to be like their mothers; they could do what their mothers could do. I think Osha's suffering allowed her to tap into the Force and she delivered herself her own white knight. Sol wanted to save both, but a connection he had with Osha (one he didn't understand) made him choose Osha over Mae. Was Osha Macaulay Culkin the whole time? Was Mae actually Elijah Wood? I'm talking about the roles they played in The Good Son. 14:56 I bet this will be Osha's recollection of what happened! Mae is getting the whole story since Sol told her his side. Osha's recollection of events will likely be what she heard while unconscious on the Jedi ship. It doesn't sound good! This side of the story paints the Jedi in a very bad light; Osha is unaware of what her Mothers had done. This week's episode should be interesting. I can see a sister vs sister fight taking place, and I can also see one of them dying and the other merging the other's essence into herself, which is what their mantra was all about anyway. What will that person become? Will Sol survive this series? Man, I cannot wait to see how this chapter ends, and I hope we get another season. I have enjoyed this take on the Jedi and I love this period. Oh, what about Vernestra and Qimir? What was in the pit the witches were humming over?! Who sent Osha that vision she got in the first episode? Is Mother Koril still alive?

Acolyte all-flashback episode 7 was very good. I liked the references to the hyperspace catastrophe that wiped out life on some planets; of which in the last episode Jedi master Vernestra has pain/nausea from traveling through hyperspace due to her strong connection to the force. The fact that Sol was an emotional Jedi like Dooku, Anakin and Quigon Jinn was seen in quite a big way. The turn of the plot, who is responsible for the death of the entire Clan of these Witches who follow the path of Bogan = Darkness in magic, they were quite similar to the Witches of the Sisterhood of the Night from Dathomir, where Darth Maul also comes from. The fights were great, the choreography was great and seeing two Jedi fight against a possessed Wookie Jedi was great. But most of all, normally, just like Mother Cora, I felt this emotional pain in my heart. When Sol killed her partner, co-mother of two children and the love of her life, mother Aniseya, in front of her eyes. The destruction reminded me of something similar to when the Jedi destroyed the entire planet of Korriban, where the original Sith race came from.

In the scene with Aniseya's mother, when Mae was asking for help, we had the opportunity to see some kind of magic where Anaseya was spitting and it also affected Mae. Do you think she was trying to teleport Osha.????

You don't think that the fortress has collapsed. Due to the fact that the fire damaged the electronics and its gradual overloading and short-circuiting then caused the reactor explosion. And the oil burned similarly to the Olympic fire, which in reality burns like this even on a stone.?
