There have been murder mysteries in Star Wars before as the Season 5 finale arc of The Clone Wars was a murder mystery, which I’m glad Hector acknowledged when he talked about how Ahsoka went through being framed in a murder mystery and, after she was found innocent, left the Jedi Order.

@@techagek Well, we don’t know for sure seeing how she’s in more than once scene. Especially since her fight with Mae takes place during the day so… doesn’t seem like she’s the murdered

i'm just happy we're getting new stories and not just "filling in the timeline". the high republic books have been the star wars content i've enjoyed the most since the force awakens premiered, getting a show from that time period and being able to fill it up with jedi and force users makes this show my most anticipated star wars release in years.

This summer is going to be one of the best I've ever gotten to experience thanks to this one slice of SW content! Lore-wise, my favorites are Clone Wars, Mortis/Peridea, the Age of the Sith, lightsaber forms, Mando-era stories, the Jedi Order history and the rise of the First Order As a tangent, my favorite planets are Tatooine, Kamino, Exegol, Naboo, Bespin, Geonosis, Coruscant, Ferrix and Aldhani You need to react to Mandalorian season 1 already! Once the Acolyte is over, you need to get on that!

So, my prediction: - Carrie-Ann Moss' character is probably the character whose death/murder is going to start the events of this show and her fight scenes with seen in the two trailer so far are probably her final moments. That thing at 1:29 does look like a destroyed lightsaber hilt, so yeah, this probably is a kyber crystal shining through. And since we know, mostly from the current comics, how Sith get their red kyber crystals in canon, i wouldn't be at all surprised if this is what ends up to be the eponymous Acolyte's personal red crystal.

I love how the Jedi Order and its arrogance ultimately mirrors how America sees itself as an agent of civility or as a world policeman. The Jedis believe system is built on this dynamic. It's an unearned position built on force, obfuscation, and opportunity

I agree with the boys, as usual. I’m excited for it, Hector nailed it (with Augistin’s help) that it seems like a fresh tone/take, while making you feel comfortable in what we’ve previously known Star Wars to be. All the Jedi action looks great, not like action action, just the story involving them. I tend to gravitate towards “The Big 3” as my faves, probably Obi-Wan, Yoda, then Anakin but it’s subject to change at any time. I also find Qui Gon quite interesting as well. Also what you guys said about being able to have an honest conversation with someone about it all, if they’re just gonna be short-sighted and close-minded there’s really no point, only a Sith deals in absolutes 😉😂

I agree with Freddie Prinze Jr to a point. He believes that only George Lucas or Dave Filoni can make changes to the lore. That there is no such thing as Grey Jedi. I argue that there are grey force users. Once you bring in the idea of balance and there is a light side and dark side. In order To have balance there must be grey. What that looks like is open to interpretation which makes for some great stories like Ashoka..

The idea of grey Jedi never made since to me. If you're dark side half the time, you're dark side, not grey. All the pre-established lore is that once you start tapping into the dark side, you don't get to just turn it off and come back to the light and back and forth.

I can't wait, otherwise it's great that he will be able to see Vernestra Rwoh and her lightsaber whip and maybe other characters from the High Republic books in life action. I hope that this series will have more series so that we can see Darth Plagueis in life action. Heck Yeaaaaah. Ps It's not Plagueis becouse he is not born in this era time maybe but moust likely it's will be master of his master.

Two things. Are we going to see Yoda? He's alive and in the Jedi Order during this timeline correct? Also, will all the Jedi who see the Sith in this show has to die correct? Since in EP 1 the Jedi are in denial from their perspective that there hasn't been a Sith in the previous millennia.

6:22 the ironic thing is they address critical reaction to a trailer that they are supposedly just watching so they already know about the criticisms so they're already going into with a defensive perspective. The bias is so heavy that their criticism of criticism is invalid.

I've always believed that when you talked about the balance in the Star Wars universe, it wasn't just the light side and the dark side. There is a in-the-middle, the gray side. So when it comes to "grey" jedi and force users I believe. Qui Gon always comes to mind for me as an example. Hell, Anakin as complex as he was, displayed "grey" personality when it came down to him struggling to truly agree with everything the Jedi stood for when you talk "by the books".

When was qui-gon ever 'grey'? If you consider grey as being a midway point between dark and light, he was nowhere near that. He disagreed with the Jedi Council plenty, but that doesn't mean he leans towards the dark side.

MT4BWY to all. I understand that now there is the Star Wars label on many creations and that many people find pleasure in watching them. I'm coming from a Star Wars marathon (saw the 6 films..not the rest) and I see the trailer for "The Acolyte" and... how can I put it, it's really not for me, like all the SW series. I tried hard but it doesn't work for me for various reasons which boil down to never getting bored of rewatching the hexalogy of George Lucas which despite its faults is a homogeneous story and a creative imagination that all the sequels and derivatives have failed to reach.
