@@raulcalimann7738 actually slovak, but no they weren't big like we have Spis Castle and that one is biggest in Europe, other castles I have been to in my country are small

​@@stefanandrejcik571Actually the biggest castle in Europe (and also the world) is the castle in Malbork, Poland. It's over three times bigger than Spiš castle. Spiš is about 5th in Europe.

Just add a few extra ranks of castle, each one is 4X the size and 4X the stone. And the biggest one requires a minimum of 12 builders.

In that case, they'd also need to make all maps massive and increase population limits to tens of thousands or more for the sake of realism.

Not every castle is like that in real lif though. And in some sense what you are refering to is a "castle keep" or we sometimes refer to it as simply a keep. Donjon was more for the knights and military units. I am not an expert but my point is, the castles in game are the type of castles that sheltered people in times od war only" which is what happens in the game when you garrison it with vils" I can see them trying to add a castle with a castle keep and shit but then that's a whole different structure AND it is not much different than building your own walls amd towers anyway. The reason age of empires walls don't give you the " keep/castles feel" is probably because you can't get on top of the walls with archers and shit, come to think of it there was an insanely good strategy game in the old days where troops could standon walls, climb walls and shit like that although i don't remember the name.

True. The second castle would have actually sufficed if you look at the entrance and the windows, at least if you go by the average central-European castle (for which you’d already have to ignore that they usually aren’t built so compactly. Still, cool video.

@@rhk199 That would literally not work since you boost all ranged units and devalue all the melee units.

This shouldn't even annoy you with how easy it is to stick the farms to the mill anyway without empty space
