@No Way if by old characters do you mean the main addams? yea i think they just basically used the original designs somewhere between the 1930's and 1990'sn here in the movie. 3 generations of family has locks on their doors because my siblings have superglue for hands. I also dont let them in my closet, because thats were I keep all my books and snacks. Cant wven leave the door open for one second because they steal a key and break in. They take shit then lie to your face about it, even though you found it in their room. I always thought that it was supposed to be the opposite end of the "freaks spectrum" where the Addams are dark and creepy, the townspeople are too colorful and trying to make a "perfect" image but just end up looking terrible. But that's just my take from it

To be fair, there was a massive fog blocking the housw from view. The Addams couldn't see the town, the town couldnt see the Addams. When the moat was drained, thw fog was lifted.

Lots of people complaining about the design but you need to know something. The design of the Addams Family was based off the designs from the original comic strips from the new Yorker in 1938.

Honestly I don't understand all the hate towards this movie, people spent months working on this just for hate. I don't mind the proportions of the characters since this was based off of the comic strip made in the early to mid 1900's, the comic strip was 2D so that's why it's weird in a 3D animation. I love all the Adam Family movies and series, I love some more than others but that doesn't mean that we just get to make fun of this movie because you don't like how their arms look or how their legs are bigger than the rest of their bodies. Yes I understand that you have the opinion to not like it but please don't send hate towards it since it took quite a long time.

I'm surprised so many people dislike the character designs. I really like them! They grew on me after awhile. That mom looks like she has a karen hair cut that multiplied onto itself hahaha. It all looks good and fun to me. Whether the rest of the film is good or not, I don't know. But these clips genuinely make me want to watch the film. The animation seems to have energy, I love the colors, and the designs are kooky but not that bad. It reminds me of Coraline or something. I appreciate that the Addam's family aren't the only ones with crazy designs.

I am the only one who gets the irony that Adams family are painted as less monsters than the humans. Especially since it's the humans heading to torch them? Am I the only one who wants to be adopted by the Addams family? Like you can be as weird and creepy as you want to without being judged and you are surrounded by introverts. I myself am an introvert so that sounds like a dream come true.
