Antonio is not big deal. Just look for the next best 2 moves of him and be of course careful of false "inaccuracies" of him, like moving a knight for some reason which probably leads to a forced fork or smth like that. Then try to not lose your bishops unless if is for an equal trade trade and improvement of your position, and finally try to control your castle side and center. At the end of the day just block as much a you can the knights jumps with your pawns and choose a bishop of different color of your pawn structure.

Yes, nelson does make obvious mistakes if you frustrate him for long games. But Isabel is something different buddy. Isabel is cruel I would say it doesn't make obvious mistakes.

@@rohit_1309havent tried Isabel yet. around 1500 is where im getting in trouble. The highest i've beaten is Olga. She's brutal. She's absolutely wacky. She plays terrible openings, then she switches and obliterates you in the mid to end game. Someone whom is higher skill probably takes better advantage at the beginning, but if you are around 1400 elo, Olga is a pain.

But the rest is literally just get obliterated by the random ass moves this bot makes, magically connecting every piece at some point, and killing your counterplay. I kid you not It's so annoying

Those computer opponents usually play better than the numbers shown against them suggest, and that is discovered at the end in the analysis when the rating estimate (based most likely on ACPL, a very accurate indicator of performance), normally showing higher numbers than the numbers shown at the side of the bot prior to selection.

I played some chess today, your videos were a big inspiration for me getting into chess. I played against a few bots as a warmup. Nelson decided that he was going to be super aggro and mate me in any way possible right out the gate. Once his queen is gone it's more of a fair fight, but he castles and goes super defensive. I won against him once. Playing vs actual players was an easier experience, rated 700 or so at the moment!

I play a lot against Li, and the same thing happens most of the time. I get a great position but the bot just cold bloodedly calculates something i've missed and turns it around. every now and then i play a blinder and i know i'm going to win because Li starts hanging all her pieces to delay the inevitable. That is very satisfying. But it only happens once in a while.

Nelson always opens with his queen, and then works the left or right side. Eventually he sacrifices his queen, but don't let that fool you. He's still pretty decent. I've played him dozens of times.

Nelson is actually really easy to beat. But then again, I've beaten the Li bot using the elephant gambit as black, so it might seem overkill to say that Nelson is really easy to beat.

@@spartanbeast3575 I think it’s because Nelson is the first hard bot new players encounter. I’m a new player so I don’t know any gambits or strategies but I cleared everything up to Nelson easily and got stuck on him. I’ve had a few good games against him and he’s taught me how to defend against early Queen/bishop attacks but I have yet to mate him.

No, there is a line where the bot can sac the queen on d8 and take the rook on d1 with check, and then they take the hanging knight after the white queen takes d1. The trade is roughly equal, but I believe it is better for black because they have more pieces developed , and they obviously have more pieces in general.

You need to stop wasting time learning strategies and chess openers if you are a mere amateur that needs to work on the fundamentals. I am a complete amateur and I beat him on my first try by playing with just logic - I know no openers nor strategies, just the fundamentals of the game. Get a stronger grasp of the fundamentals.

How to beat Nelson - 1. Try to capture his queen in the opening game (usually falls for rook pin after you castle) or an exchange will do 2. Nelson is aggresive in the middle game so dont do anything passive 3. Make it to the end game and you can win by promoting a pawn to queen 4. Nelson is dumb in end game and often makes blunders in end game, make use of it.

I caught some of these 1000-2000 bots playing 39 perfect moves with eval around 0.20 entire game and they blunder very late in game like on move 40-70 even . and if they are down a piece they can play full stockfish strength in endgame . they are very different , sometimes they play way above their rating .Although they could be quite terrible most of time

I feel the odd man out I haven't had as much trouble with him as the bots before and after him. It's very easy to punish his aggressive Queen obsession. Nelson's openings are free tempo.

The horrible things about Nelson is that he is ridiculously easy to beat if you game plan for him, but if you play against most other bots including some weaker bots like that, you would get crushed. I am wary about playing too many bots for this reason because I tend to play against the weaknesses inadvertently of individual bots

What's so annoying about these chess bots is that they don't even try to simulate any kind of human blunder. They either play the most perfect or at least optimal moves in every situation, then on a coin toss decide to blunder. It's frustrating, probably the least human experience playing the game. Nelson at least has the decency to predetermine his throwing by taking his queen out asap. Bots like Antonio and Isabel are just Grade A assholes on the contrary.

It's def not easy to beat that 1600 bot for me. I'm stuck on Wally the 1800 bot. Got a draw today and somehow screwed up a winning position. Before they had these bots I beat a 1900 engine but only once and I was extremely playing well and focused that day.

Hi, my neighbor was gifted a chessboard over the summer and taught me how to play. I now find myself completely submerged in the game and it's the only thing that brings me peace after a long day's work. Total bliss. My neighbor doesn't want to play me anymore and left me his chessboard for safekeeping. He's really into call of duty now and I rarely see him, but I'd like to say thank you for all of your past and present uploads. I'm having a great time watching them and learning loads of fun moves. honestly all the bots ELOs are very overrated. like I can beat the Hikaru bot like 40% of the time or so because it makes bizarre mistakes. ofc in a real match I would be absolutely slaughtered by Hikaru or any 2700.

@@ASRIBEIRIO I fully agree with you. But its not only the chess.com bots tho, I have the PlayMagnus app and I managed to get 2 draws against 29 year old Magnus (ofc out of like 50 games) but with the real Magnus that would be simply impossible.

@@viezure10 Yup. The highest rated bots on the websites are still really weak compared to the full strength. The website versions would be lucky to get a draw, and would never win. 100 games would probably look something like 95-0-5 in favor of the real bots.
