I hit a wall on stringing them together,,,I know once I get by it the door will open to alot of fun stuff just been stuck there for so long. I live in Redding CA, almost no such thing as smooth air. Plus I've never even seen anybody else that flys. Got 3 prism kit, wore the bridles out on my 3D and prism sent me replacements. Hats off to them. Thanks guys.

I had this video back in 2001 when I got several Prism kites: the Elixir, Illusion, Illusion 2K, the Ozone and Alien. I still have those kites and are in great shapes! Now, I want to start flying again!! Learned a lot from that video!

Just seen this one, I'll pass it on to the guy's and girls in the Harlow Kite Flying Page, I'm sure they would find it interesting to watch. . Great flight.

What line length do you use? I'm guessing about 100 feet.

What can you do about the kite on its belly with the nose towards you? It just hugs to the ground like a plow :-(
@blsaltzman4 жыл бұрын
I'm still working on that one myself. In stronger winds, if I can pop one wing up, I can usually get enough air to lift it up. In weaker winds, I'm taking a walk. :)

I'm just a beginner and this is happening all the time LOL

@@blsaltzman Lots of walking...so glad they talked about that in this video.

I used to pull on the lines to get the kite somehow moving into a better position. Since this made a standoff break, I prefer walking haha.

You can do what's called the dead launch. With the kite belly down dose towards you, take all slack out of the lines first. Here's the trick. 1. Make a firm pop with both lines that only pulls about a quarter inch of line. This is tricky and takes practice and can damage your kite. But it will cause the kite nose to bounce about 6-12 inches of the ground. 2. Immediately after the pop sweep your arms back to pull air under the sail. This method is hard to learn but once you learn it it can be very useful.
