That CGI was so cutting-edge that I can't even tell what's real. We have indeed crossed the uncanny valley, and can no longer tell whether or not Tom is actually in a period-perfect Robin Hood outfit firing a proper bodkin arrow into the bullseye of a medieval archery target.

Sometimes, I imagine a reality where Tom doesn't do his own editing, and really all of the things that come off as jokes are just Quinns making fun of him while cutting the shots together.

Just when I thought Tom couldn't get hotter he whips out this ensemble.

Got this for Christmas, so the family played it over the past couple of days, and we’re hooked. Casual players all, for us it totally works, and we are super excited for more adventures alongside Robin and his gang. 😊

The production value of the review on this is amazing as always, even though the game is not the type I would normally go for I watched the entire review because of the clearly huge effort put in by Tom, Top draw reviews as always guys!

If only Tom had used the correct accent for the times like Kevin Costner did.

Wow the smooth jazz as the arrow dallies past the accoutrements of the game was a very nice touch.

Tom’s really been on a roll of finding his voice in the last few videos. I feel like I understand his sense of humor on a very visceral level now, and I love it.

At first I thought he was doing a cheesy British accent for the video, then I remembered he's British.

I was so invested in that arrow flight and the saucepan-gong sound-effect was perfect. Bravo 👏🏼

I love SUSD when it hits the humour target in the bullseye. Part self deprecation, part satire and part absurdist. This is a fine example of the art in action.

I love the little detail that the entire shot was taken in his parents house (because its a family game) and he breaks into it at the beginning (because he braught the game to them) ... :-D So clever and subtle! Kudos!

I recently got a copy of "The Downfall of Pompeii" from a liquidation store and was super surprised by how fun and approachable it was, despite how outdated and plain it seemed from the onset (and admittedly a bit through playing it). It's from the dude who made Carcassonne. Kind of been my go to reference game when talking about the "family game" category. Definately good analysis of that game though. I feel like you hit the subtler points that would be otherwise glazed over by typical video reviewers.

It seems like Legends of Andor (also from Kosmos) provides a lot of the crunchier elements of this type of game while still having really streamlined rules and a fantastic tutorial that makes it really friendly for those not as immersed in "board games".

The game looks interesting to me though... And can I just say that every video from this channel is like a Christmas gift ❤️

I really wish Pandemic Legacy had used a board like this one to keep track of its changing board situation. This seems like the real innovation here. Maybe they can make another Pandemic spinoff that allows for a campaign game that keeps its board state between games but can be reset at the end.

I like the idea of turn order by pulling from a bag. You could do some tetris stuff and pull out all but one, then refill with one of each, giving the possibility of a double turn kinda thing. Now I want to somehow do D&D initiative in this way. Slow the game down I guess.

Amazing review! If you are looking for a solid thematic game about Robind Hood, I would recommend watching for A Gest of Robin Hood, a gmt game that will be released in 2022. It borrow from their COIN series mechanics with the aim of creating an easy game to get into.

Just finished the game with my girlfriend, we both loved it! Giving it a break then playing it for a second time, new text to the story and adds more weight.

Love the Monty Python horseback riding, but you didn't dismount and I didn't see any coconuts in your hands. I just assumed every Brit has a pair of coconuts for spontaneous Monty Python references.

seems like a game that will benefit from expansions that more creatively use the exvellently simple mechanics of play. a bit like Arkham Horror LCG whete the core box scenarios are kinda not as good or interesting as what has followed.
