Captivating and beautiful! I want to thank you for bringing the comment section back. I understand why took it away in the first place, but I truly enjoy expressing my deep appreciation for the quality work this channel keeps producing, and it's nice to see other people that share this appreciation for meaningful and passionate productions. Thank you Mr and Mrs Bond, these videos mean a lot to me.

@Cero Balam more like how to discern meaning from paintings and films. It appears that although art is subjective, there is usually a main analysis that can be discovered. I often miss that as often people will say that a films meaning is this or that and my own interpretation is often wildly different than that and I feel like I analyzed the text wrong.

@@gabrielidusogie9189 I meant. Analysing art & films requires a very deep sense of life and what exists around us in this world. A skill like that can’t be taught, but it can be learned. Through our own passion, research, study.

I really enjoy the content this channel makes. Most other people who would/do make similar style videos often have a more biased feeling sound, maybe as if they ever so slightly think high of themselves for breaking down artistic subjects. There is none of that here, just purely analytical communication that expresses story and history rather than including unnecessary or ill-fitting pieces into the discussion. Thank you for putting these out.

Wow, this video really awakened my love for art! The explanation on how to read a painting was so clear and easy to understand. I appreciate how the video dives into the aesthetic instinct and goes beyond just surface-level appreciation. The visuals and explanations really helped me grasp the deeper meaning behind the artwork. Thank you for sharing this insightful content!

I don’t know why, but every time I watch one of your video essays it makes me excited. It’s interesting to see how different a person can perceive the world. I was around for channel Criswell and Art Regard. With each new video the both of you show me a new way to view art. Makes me excited to see all things that went over my head or I missed, so thanks a bunch! Wish you guys the best

That was a really nice breakdown of the importance of colour. Speaking as an artist, colour is one of the basic, foundational tools of the craft but it's so easy to make it an afterthought. If you don't consider colour, you fail to consider movement, emotion, composition, or tone. It's totally integral to an artwork's content. I also want to echo the other posters in that I appreciated the return of comments for this video. I've been wanting to tell you how much I've enjoyed your video essays and wasn't able to for the last few.

Always wondered how important context is in all art. So much sophistry, faux intellectualism, and elitism taints the art community, or at the very least, the perception of the art community. What happens if there is no context for a piece? How much is too much dependency on context?

Comments are back(?) It's been such a long time I've gotten so grumpy about it and don't quite know what to say now that I can... *_`: \_* *_"+1 for others asking can we have subtitles please?"_* - If you could even just dump the transcript text it would be a huge big help! My ears are not so effective as they look and the brain they are teamed up with is rather sadly little worthy of even such faint praise.

I have the exact same problem. But then it occurred to me : Potential Solution 1: click on the cogwheel, and put the speed down to 0.75. Solution 2: Look at the bottom right corner of the screen, find "CC" and click on it, you'll get subtitles. And, for the complete transcript, look right bellow the screen for the word SAVE, click on the three dots on its right. You'll see "Transcript", click on it.
