And, honestly, I don't know why this sort of thing hasn't been explored: how many timelines that theorists put together are so convoluted, that could be fixed by putting together multiple timelines, instead... Wow... okay, listen. Afton was a terrible person. He killed kids, yeah. Both of his children died due to animatronic error. Machines HE MADE. He experimented with human souls he took. But he paid OVERTIME with the springlock failure. Then, he got burned to death, which is one of the worst ways to go. Then instead of burning in hell, which is bad enough, he got killed by HIS machines over and over, in what we can assume was more and more brutal ways. And the cherry on top? He was experimenting with souls to bring back his kids. That's a lot for ANYONE, but especially for someone who's already deranged...
