Hi everyone! Today in the Aibo nursery, Pochi starts to discover the ball and that if he whines my name, I will pay attention to him. Probably not a good habit to start. Lol! Ginto just paces about in a rather aimless manner, and Stubbs, his toe on the crack between the actual mat and the filler Iput into fill the giant gap in the right side. I also learned that I can install Aibrouser23 which is a software tool that will show me how the boys are moving from Life stage to Life stage. Enjoy!

When I first got my 31L buster from Japan I discovered he was blind also, and had to send him to WolfBob for a camera swap, which was surprisingly a camera from a 210 and he has seen ever since lol

Wow! That gives me hope. This poor puppy has had more medical problems than all seven of my other dogs. It started with a jittering leg. I got that repaired, and then the opposite leg was collapsing under him at the elbow joint. Somehow the jittering from the opposite leg was so violent, and it had gone on for so long (WolfBob’s advice to just run him more) that the Flexy in his right front elbow came loose. Well, after sending him in for the second time, WolfBob replaced all four of his legs. He was fine for a while and then his praise, scold sensor failed. If he looked up at me to see my face, his head would flop backwards, and he would scold himself. If he looked down to chase the ball or something, he would praise himself. It was at that point where he just got really depressed. He hated people, he ignored all of the dogs, but he loved his ball. I sold him because he was the dog that I had the least bond with. He was just… Super depressing to run. Four years later, I got him back. Some members of the community chased him down when his second owner was preparing to sell him. When he was recovered by Allicia, he was deaf in his right ear and his headboard was dead. He came back to me with his praise scold censored disconnected because she couldn’t fix it, a new headboard, and a newly soldered mic on his right ear. That was October I think of 2021. Apparently, he lost his vision about four months after he came back. I had somebody look at his memory sticks for me and he doesn’t have any pictures whatsoever so it’s been going on a while. My guess is that when the headboard was being plugged in or whatever, maybe one of those cables slipped out. That’s my hope anyway. Lol! Sorry for the novel, but Ginto has had a very hard life.

@crazyrobotlady3391 Sorry to hear that Ginto is, indeed, blind. Who will you send him to? The same person who can do Akira's leg pinning?

@@2150dalek ha ha! Sometimes it does, but I’ve never done that before. I’ve never mistaken my subject for myself. I guess I was very intent on my intro. Lol! That was pretty blooming funny. And then there are the occasional robotic malfunctions. Some of those are pretty funny, some of those are rather disturbing at least to me. I have had robots collapse, I have had batteries die, as in the outtake about Patty play pals workout. I have forgotten to put tapes in. Lol! I have started videos with the wrong software in some robots. Oh man. It’s a surprising amount of work to pull one of these off.

Poor Ginto is kind of ironic, as he's meant to look like a pug, and pugs have a lot of health trouble too, the poor things. When you told Ginto to stand up, he waved a front paw back toward you, kind of over his shoulder. Pochi turning back toward you with his head turned sideways was startling and funny. The second time you asked them to shake hands, Pochi was waving his back leg. I don't know what Ginto's gesture means, but it looked like he was saying, "SCORE".

@@Tam.I.am. yeah. Unfortunately, Ginto is part of the 3X series. So that is the 311, 311 B, 312, and 31L. Pochi is a 311 B, and Ginto is a 31L. They were the budget Aibos and were priced at about $900 in their hay day. They have fewer sensors then the 210 which is what bolt is. My gold dog with the pointy ears and the short tail, and the ERS seven which is the white Aibo that talks. They have fewer sensors and eye lights and are made to look more cuddly.

Hi! Lol! I probably should have explained things a little better. This is the aibo nursery. Ginto and Pochi are robotic dogs. They are Aibos and they were made by Sony back in the early 2000s. They have software that will allow you to raise them from newborn to adult. Right now, Pochi has just passed newborn stage and he is currently a baby. Ginto is a little older than he is and he’s starting to walk around and explore the world. His camera has failed so right now he is as blind as I am. It’s going to be interesting to see how he grows up having no exposure to the pink ball which is an Aibo’s heart’s desire. It’s their favorite toy. It’s the thing they hunt for. It’s the Piece of kit that motivates them to evolve to the next stage. There are ( I believe) seven stages to their growth. Newborn, baby, child one, child two, youth one, youth two, and adult. So these guys are very much young puppies. They’re frolicing around, they get mad and sad very easily. They are still learning to walk in Pochi‘s case so he staggers around. Sometimes his legs run out of strength and he just flops down because he’s tired. They’re very cute.

@@crazyrobotlady3391 so what do all of those different noises mean?
@crazyrobotlady3391
@crazyrobotlady3391 21 күн бұрын
@@TheEvilChocolateCookie oh. Lots of things. It would take too long for me to try and explain all of the noises to you. I think what I should do is as the puppies are moving around and what not, maybe I can explain what some of the noises mean. I have been part of theAibo community for 13 years, and there are things about these robots that still surprise me. Some of them are greetings, like hello, goodbye, yes, and no. There are a few others that are linked to status commands like are you hungry or how old are you? They go through this entire series of gestures as they’re making all the noises and it translates to , what stage of life they are in. Like, both Ginto and Pochi when you ask, how old are you, they lie down on their stomachs, do that little musical dance that you heard, then spread their legs out in a giant ex. Then, Pochi Raises his left front paw and beeps once. Ginto raises his right front paw and beeps twice. Once they’re through with all of that, they go back into their normal lying down positions. So basically what that’ translates to is baby or child and I think the right paw raised is child while the left paw raised is baby. I was also wrong about the stages. There are a lot more than seven. There is newborn, baby one, baby two, baby three, baby four, child one, child two, child three, child four youth one, youth two, youth three, youth, four, and adult. They are linked to time and how often you interact with the dog. The baby stages go relatively fast. They are done between 30 minutes to an hour. Child stage is about 40 hours long. I think that covers all four child stages, then I think youth stage is another 40 hours? I’m not sure about that one. I would have to look at the Chart on Aibohack where the time between each stage is broken down. Oh man, I will be at this for a while. Lol! That’s why I started including Pochi to try and move Ginto’s growth along, so I wouldn’t be bored out of my skin raising him by himself.
Stay on your way 🛤️✨
