We’re hunting with Andy Watkins this week, and a mixed bag is on the cards. He starts on a farmyard shoot where pigeons are targeting cereal crops and jackdaws are raiding animal feed, and then moves on to a grassland permission to set his sights on rabbits.
On the test bench this week is the Crowbuster package from Pellpax. Based around the Webley VMX spring-powered break-barrel air rifle, the kit includes a scope, mounts, padded bag and pellets - all for under £150. Tune in to see how this budget-busting combo performs.

I came here for Walther Rm8, do You moderate this air rifle or its like "stright of the box" with no tuning/ moderate parts?

Hi Andy, does your Walther RM8 have a manual or automatic safety? I just looked at one in a local shop and it had an automatic safety, enaging with every cocking of the rifle. I found that quite annoying in combination with this stock style, not allowing a thumb up grip and therefore no quick putting off safe just before the shot or quick follow up shots. And I would like to thank you for your contribution to the show! I always like seeing you on the hunt and I especially like your hints as the quick guts removal from a rabbit without using a knife, several shows before. Best wishes and happy shooting! Martin

Love the show. Firstly. Watched it for years. But you do give the antis reason to hate on numerous occasions, and after such a mission over the last few months with the GL’s, I’m surprised you didn’t edit a particular bit out, being such an upstanding show. Young Andy there, though a fabulous shot in the competition field, that single pigeon in the tree at 38 paces, pretty much doing fuck all wrong, was shot, fine by me but they hate for that, and then left in the field. It won’t even end up in the pan. Seemed a bit of an embarrassin moment. And that last rabbit... hmmm. As I say, love the show, but sometimes footage could be edited in a way that might not show us all as just killing for killing sake.

don't you now need a personal specific license for shooting corvids, pigeon, rabbit and the like now with me licencing? and not s land owners permission as any permission would be in his name specifically, and having to show and prove so other options have been tried like detecting etc?

You guys act like you need special tech and lasers and such to shoot pigeons? In my day, 70's and 80's I used bb guns and shot them dead without any scope and range finders and crap... LOL.. I still own my 2nd BB gun from the early 80's, Daisy Powerline 860 and it still shoots and kills pigeons with 10 pumps and one shot.

No, it is not that simple. These are pests that need to be eradicated. Shoot whatever you can whether you can retrieve it or not. Skidow has never been off concrete in his life and does not understand what you are doing.
