Hmmm. Is it true that if you turn off just Lane B then half the spark plugs are being fired and if you turn off just Lane A then the other half of plugs are being fired? If true then I would expect an RPM drop with either test. But the Sling POH says: Airplane Factory SLING LSA Pilot Operating Handbook SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION - BEFORE TAKE OFF Check the Lane A and Lane B ignition circuits at 4 000 rpm. No rpm drop should occur when Lane B is switched off. An rpm drop of less than 180 rpm is permissible when Lane A is switched off. This seems to me to be a conflict. I’m just trying to learn... 😁

No, all spark plugs fire on A and B. It's more like 2 separate controllers each capable of everything.
