I agree for that much money, a more protective sleeve is warranted. It’s a tempting set, but the OGs sound so good. Are these quieter and of equal or better sound quality?

It's not the poster that is signed, but a limited edition (500) photo of Eric and Alan that is signed by Alan Parsons. I have the photo because I was in the first 500 club! There are a couple poor vinyl clicks and scuffs on the Cooking Vinyl pressings, but overall the sound is great. I found that Vulture Culture sounded amazing, and Miles Showell detailed the process that he had to do to get that one done. Cheers

Cool box but I’m fully stocked with originals, hot stampers and Classic / MoFi versions of the catalog, plus Eye in the Sky from SC. Nice set for someone to get all of the discs in one spot! 🎉😊

Hi rez digital (especially in the DSD realm) are very close to the original master! There is a "slight" difference that can only be determined by the costliest of equipment! However 44.1 16 (CD resolution) is immediately distinguishable from the tapes! So in some cases I think the hi res transfer cut ✂️ is fine , as long as it captures most of the tape information!

Well finally i waited for this review - thank you! I love all the albums by APP, saw him once in Arbon, Switzerland, and was completly blown away. He was after Deep Purple and the hole crowd was louder when Alan Parsons played on stage. I am actually trying to collect the originals, since they are way cheaper then this reissue but if this is an improvement to some ears, i might get it.

Cool looking box set Steve. I have 5 of Parson's albums. Actually Pyramid is one of my favs. That set is more Parson's than I would need but ideal for the completist fan. BTW, I happen to have the John Lee Hooker The Healer pic disc CD when it first came it. It sounds really good, great album.

A good friend played I Robot in 1977.Ive been a fan ever since.

I don't know, $300+ when the OG are still plentiful, cheap and easy to find in VG+ to NM condition. I guess the box set does save you the leg work. Thanks for the review. 👍🏻

There is a lot of beautiful music in that vinyl box set, and I would definitely buy it if I didn't already have the originals.

Uh, please forgive me, but that is 'The Sicilian Defense' which is pronounced sis-sil'-ian 😊 Sorry, it is a Classic chess opening defense (response from black P-B4) I have the MFSL 2-45 of I Robot which I personally feel is by FAR his masterpiece and the sound quality is frigg'n exquisite! And I have OG's of Tales of Mystery & Imagination and a few others. Just for my lowly and wretched taste, after I Robot, with a few exceptions, I just find his stuff SUPER bland and kind of boring. I'd rather pull my own nutz off than listen to Eye in the Sky (sorry) 😁But, those first two albums are totally Classic! That's awesome that they sent you the box set Bro 👍
