Great Big Story

Great Big Story

Күн бұрын

A bald eagle is an exciting, rare sighting for most Americans. But on this Alaskan island, our national symbol is as common as a beachside seagull. You can find them everywhere-lurking above the post office, inspecting the trash, waiting patiently for the local fishing boats to return with the day’s catch, even hanging out in front of the town church. In Unalaska, Alaska, everyone has an eagle story.

Loved the last dude in the video. But seriously, I remember in the 80’s when these guys were endangered, never saw them anywhere (from Minnesota/Wisconsin), but now seeing one is uncommon, but not rare. It’s always a beautiful day when you see a freedom gliding in the wind. Even had the pleasure seeing an eagle swoop down and grab a fish when I was boating about 100 ft from me. I love the fact that conservation efforts have been a success story.

I love eagles in freedom. I love the Aleutian islands. My first trip was to the Alaska gulf and then I took in Mat-Su College a class of Anthropology; ending to love more than ever Alaska and caring more for nature. I never mix food leftovers with trash, I rinse glass jars before to dump then into the garbage and I have a compost pile when wild birds do their bussiness. I love Alaska.

Funny how I can have a KZfaq channel for 11 years and have that many subscribers and hits and they just take it away and don't tell me why! I haven't done anything different recently that I have been doing for the last 11 years. My videos have been on Good Morning America, News channels in Seattle and Anchorage, National Geographic documentaries, Nickelodeon, the most popular TV show in Japan, Tosh.O, The Steve Harvey Show, and several other TV shows. I know this is an old comment, but Canadian Geese are hardly scary - sure, they're big, but there's absolutely nothing sharp on them. I've had some attack me and I literally just punted them. Very satisfying considering they're bloody pests down in NJ, camping on every damn green field in the state.
