met larry june in 2019 at ocean beach for a random pop-up, bro busted out all his dope old cars, brought his son and his people out, chilled with fans the whole day selling merch and chopping it up. turned out to be the music video for Smoothies in 1991. now i always get to see me and the homies in one of his biggest music vids lol. amazing memory. at 10 min mark he speaks of being for the people. larry june lives those words! was so genuine, kind, and inviting in person. he deserves all his success, def put in the groundwork. more life

Covert Coupe is a CLASSIC, it's only right it's recognized by The Alchemist as the staple for all of his collab albums. It's really what put me on his production, I had heard of him but his production on Covert Coupe drew me to his beats. Definitely my favorite producer, following him is how I find new artists.
