this is absurdly well made and captures a great vibe. the analogue equipment use is perfect and well utilized here, and it really makes it feel like an obscure, deep cut tape rather than a video with a vhs filter slapped on. love it so much

I really felt like I was there during this entire video, and it inspired me. Ive always wanted to make goofy videos like these and then live on to make music about it and this video really captured a lot of the same feelings that I’ve experienced while listening to alex g’s music. This is a movement. Alex G's stuff mobilizes you, it really makes people make art, he's tapped into something crazy. i think this could be potentially super huge for art and how we think of scholarship (weird turn I know but bare with me) When it comes to studying art and language music and lyricism are seen as layman or mass culture which keeps them from being taken seriously by academia. If being a scholar of musical artists is possible, alex g may join the ranks of those that are studied and written about in academia. There is really really something to what he makes.
