Explained like a boss. I really enjoy your educational videos. Your presentation is getting much more slick as well.

Thanks for this informative video. You’ve helped me decide and understand what I kind of Brompton I need. I think we always want shiny and new things. I just need a C 6 speed. If I outgrow it, I’ll just modify it to fit my needs. Thank you!

Looks like the 12-speed is really 10, with one significantly higher gear than the 6-speed's 3+ and one just a bit below the 6-speed's 1-.

Yes but that 4 speed cast means you can stay in your sturmy archer gear longer, because when you change that you then immediately have to make 2 or 3 cassette gear shifts, which is nice.

It seems to me, based on the chart, that 6 speed is the sweet spot for the lightweight T-Line but it's not available. Why isn't the 6-speed available on the T-Line?

I wonder how it is compared to the Road Bike Internal Gear Hub equivalent-the Classified Powershift 24-Speed (external 12-Speed Casette)? I heard the gear range for the Classified is 530% compared to BWR's 406%. Plus lesser weight

It seems to be a primitive system. The old Shimano 3x7 = 21 speeds and lighter. This is 3x4, not only heavy with the hub gear but gear 4/5 and 8/9 are so close that it is a 10 speeds actually. I think the L-Twoo FOLD B with a Shimano 9 speeds cassette is a better choice because the shifting is sequential without duplication and ratios are more well spacing.

I’m pretty sure that people have been putting 5 cogs on a bwr already on a c line. Actually no reason to upgrade. Just mod

Brompton trying to be too clever. By now all Bromptons should be 6 speed standard. Like the Cline explorer. No need for 12 speeds. 6 speeds 33 to 100 does it all. And on a Tline or Pline you will have a truly great bike.. because of the lighter weights. And 16 inch wheel. Which roll better and accelerate faster than bigger wheels.

No. 33 to 100 may be OK for you, but I use my Brompton for touring and 19 to 79 using an Alfine 11 works for me.

@@andycoatsworth7473 I would say, Brompton should have a much simpler but more flexible and MODERN product-line: Put in the ALFINE 8 and ALFINE 11 and the older 3x2-setting into the Line at least for T-Line, P-Line and C-Line. Why Brompton do not care I cannot understand. Why all this completely rediculous 3x4-setting with 400% spreading when there is the Alfine 11 with 400% spreading and TRUE 11 gears? Which is allready working for cyclists like you...
