Evening folks! I'm a bit late with the old pinned comment tonight...Bit hectic right now, preparing for the Christmas mini-series amongst other things! Tonight's video has a slightly different vibe. People often ask me to do a 'buffet busting' challenge, but they're often difficult to film as a one-man-band, with all the sitting and standing haha! I saw this leaderboard style challenge at One Plus Chinese Restaurant, and as soon as I realised the food was on a conveyor belt, I jumped at the chance to try and take top spot! Let me know if you enjoyed the video, or if you didn't, right down there in the comments, and I hope you can join me again this Sunday at 7pm GMT!

Usually in Japan also, they cook that stuff at these similar looking restaurants, where you grab food from the "belt.", or "cash desk" looking place. What ever that is in English :D To me this restaurant's concept isn't very promising, or long-lasting as you have to cook the stuff by yourself lol. And isn't fast as it seems to be complicated in case of waiter having to introduce yourself to the concept at first... Time-wasting too. Doesn't work at least in Europe.

Gave me serious anxiety when the soup didn't boil and meat was put into it though 😂 The 'soggy frittatas' were deep fried tofu skin; it's good when it's boiled and soaks up the broth! Don't recommend them for an oilier broth like ma la (numbing spice); since it floats on the surface, all it'll soak up then is the oil and become an oil sponge.

He ate it wrong and only took items from the belt. You are meant to have noodles, vegetables, sliced meats, stewed meats, seafood, rice, dumplings, and so much more, but for time efficiency's sake (and lack of experience with Chinese food) only ate whatever came in the conveyor belt. Trust me hot pot can be the tastiest food you've ever had :)

Some of those are really strange items to offer at Chinese hot pot. I have never seen cocktail wieners or spam before. Usually it's sliced meat, fish, dumplings, meatballs, noodles, and vegetables.

@@aaronloiselle7404 Because i know many people, asians included, that wouldn't be willing to put many of that traditional chinese ingredients in their hot pot, let alone their mouths. I'm also an American born Chinese, so I don't mind some spam and hotdog every once in a while ha.
