Do you know why these frequencies are skipped on the CB radio. They are the original 27mhz Model Radio Control frequencies, before they were moved to the 35mhz band, to avoid interfence from CB radio's.

Hi marvin , thanks for the info very interesting. i do remember back at the end of the 70’s / 80’s in the heyday the interference that rigs used to cause to most things even our local garages petrol pumps until they hot wise.

I had a copy of that book and all the others on this subject inc Screwdriver Expert and they got thrown out by the HID. The information in those books has never gone out of date and is as important today as it was back in the day. Sort of have to keep reminding myself that the 27/81 Service should be considered as been a unique service completely seperate to the orginal 11 meter band plan.

Luckily I still have all my books I have been collecting from here and there, it would certainly be hard and probably very expensive to try and replace them.

I’m sorry I’m confused lol. So when you’re talking about going into the cb soldering a resistor etc is that for radios that don’t have the frequency selector or is this in addition to? I don’t really understand. I have the president Lincoln 2+ and president McKinley I believe the Lincoln can go between channels but not my little McKinley.
@britishcbradio10556 ай бұрын
The resistor is only for older style radios not for the lincoln, you would really need to run through the mod to see what the resistor does so would need a separate video to really explain that.
