At this point I think it's youtube compression messing with vocal volume because I was given no notes on anything volume wise for the mix or the master, but everyone whose ever reacted to anything i've mixed has always said something along the lines of "the vocals should be louder" no matter how far forward I bring them lmao smol sidenote: I don't mean this in a bad way, I just find it funny that that's the one consistent piece of criticism I seem to get lol

@@MattTOB618 i appreciate it ahaha but I get why people who react to these things on KZfaq say the volume is the issue, different platforms have different levels of loudness normalization for music, and KZfaq is one of the ones that compresses more than others, so it definitely would make the vocals sound quieter especially with the way I blend them ahaha

That explains why the youtube version felt different to me :) I heard the version on Spotify first, and only heard the youtube version after I watched the first reaction to it. I then watched the original video on KZfaq because it felt different and I wanted to know the version people were reacting to. Always interesting to see how different systems handle media :)

@@circuitgamer7759 yeah each store has a different level of normalization they all normalize audio to a specified level of LUFS and I believe Spotify has a lot less compression due to the fact the LUFS level they normalize to is closer to what LUFS I mastered the song to! (I usually master around -8 LUFS), and I believe Spotify normalizes to -11 or -12!
