This is what happens when you have a vision but no plans and a desire to succeed. Anyone can make this bunk bed and it will look good in any room stained or painted. Please note that I built this bed frame to allow for twin mattresses to fit inside the dimensions. Enjoy!!

.
.
Total cost for materials used was around $350.

Just MHO as a home inspector, I’d recommend using lag bolts into those studs instead of a “deck screw” ....especially if it was for my kids, I’d hate for anything to happen to anyone in that bottom bunk mang!!!

I love the input. If I was only going to have a few attachment points I would have used something more beefy like lags. In this situation I was able to use deck screws in every stud (6) and 2 per stud. It was solid. Thanks for watching and again for your input. 🙏🏼

Nice job. Couldn’t see anything “floating” about it. You clearly have that post supporting what would be the floating corner.

Ric España the whole idea is that it appears floating by being attached to the walls on the two sides. I agree that it’s not really floating because it would need to be made out of steel most likely. Thanks for watching :)

What screws did you use for the pocket holes?
@norrisW

I used 1-1/4” coarse thread soft/plywood pocket hole screws. Kreg brand. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching :)

Do you think, this same project, with the bed fixed on a brick wall, can withstand two adults, 75,kg and 64kg, doing The Sex, on it ?

Probably not. But if you modify it I’m sure you could make it work. Sorry :(
