I've been watching his comedy/magic for a long time, & this is the earliest of his work I have ever seen. Truly Amazing - so sad that he's gone. "Have we done this yet? Ok, we'll do it now."

The fact that he even had a chance for the legend John Candy to introduce him is a amazing honor! Forever fans of them both ❤️

his act hasn't changed any over the years has it? still funny as hell every time I see it
@Jaydoggy5315 жыл бұрын
The same could have been said for Otto and George. The beauty of the act though is sometimes in the totally-oblivious crowd. It's just seeing the horrified reactions of people who have NO idea what they're in for. In many ways, it's both very traditional and very unique.

Damn, i had no idea he'd been doing this for that long, I've only seen the "Just for Laughs" one from '95 and one from a year later I think. This is......amazing!

I absolutely LOVE the uniqueness of his comic magician style. Has only gotten more and more refined over the years. Hilarious as always!

it's amazing, he still had that deranged look in his eyes way back then

His act has changed substantially. It takes years to refine a professional caliber act, and this guy is among the top comedic magicians in the world. The basic outline may be the same, but he's refined the details to an incredible degree. It annoys me so much that people are disappointed with one act that develops over the years. Acts of genius don't often happen spontaneously. I've been doing the same few routines for years, and I have a long time to go before I'm as polished as him.

For some of the best Amazing Johnathan search for Hey Hey it's Saturday, it's an Aussie light entertainment show from the 90's, AJ did quite a few acts with them and the audience is great.

Thank you Amazing Johnathon for making me smile. Don't usually do that. But there's an innocence to what you do.
@Ichliebegermany11 жыл бұрын
the reason why he is so great is that he isnt like any other magician. way better than carrot top and he knows he isnt the greats magician or comedian in the world but he combines the two. Making the perfect combination
@toriawelsh72745 жыл бұрын
There are plenty of funny magicians around, and have been around since the 70's and 80's. So you are talking shit. Oh and they were much better at it too than this guy.

amazing someone could last 20 yrs with the same routine

His show in vegas was one of the funniest Ive ever seen. I was crying with laughter, and it takes a lot for me to laugh. This is his older stuff, his showmanship was honed and he really was a master of his craft by the time I saw him in Vegas. I wish there were more magic comics.

This is from one of my all time favorite comedy specials. I just re-acquired a copy of this, and it is still funny. And the 80's clothes rule! rock on, Jonathan!

Wow, I just said that to myself as I read your post. I never really thought of that joke before, I always go for the "guy who killed me parents", "don't listen to him howard, he's crazy" and "ahh drinking red wine tonight, howard?"
@Brawler48416 жыл бұрын
omg, he looks so different back then. He put on weight and actually looks better now with the wieght on than he does in this video. He got funny too over the years and is way better at his stuff than he was back when this was filmed. Still pretty cool to see him when he was this young.
