See how this machine turns inaccessible land into mulched land you can walk or drive into. The machine was being driven hard as a demonstration only.

What the hell is with all the 'you're rough on your machine' comments? This looks like average brush-clearing treatment for ANY Bobcat-Loader in the U.S.!!! If you don't drive your machine like this, on average, you are BABYING JUNK MACHINERY! Which, then, begs the question - if you ran it like this as an attachment ALL THE TIME on, say, a 90-hp REAL crawler, what would it's life expectancy REALLY be?
@skeetersaurus62496 жыл бұрын
watch?v=JD1uLH_64Qc for the attachment I'm comparing this to (which, happens to be mounted on a 92-hp diesel Bobcat) - the video talks about 'forestry mulcher component replacement costs and required hardware', compared to 'whole machine' which actually costs a LOT MORE and is usually prohibitive to 'most businesses'.

If there is no fence around the property , cut a fence row , then put goats inside of it. I fenced in 3 acres, put goats in, 4 weeks later it was clean. Then I reseeded it with pasture grasses .

Nick W, how many goats did it take to clear the 3 acres? I've seen some of the videos of herds of goats clearing land and they're very effective. However after the goats cleared the vines, leaves, and grass you would still have trees, stumps, logs and sticks to contend with. I'm voting for the machine!!

Definitely more productive than a skid steer with attachment.
@beckywatt50484 жыл бұрын
Light Ning I don't believe there is a "skid steer" out there that has the hydraulic cap. to run any equip like this , I used to work on hydroaxes , and even their capacity was a little on the low side in my opinion , if you didn't sample the oil and stick to the maint schedule you were in trouble , a qualified operator was a must .Not something you put in the hands of the average farmer.

these things are perfect for light/med duty farm grade crawlers no ripper (the most power intensive application a dozer/crawler will do) Just a winch and a pintle, again farm stuff. This is not a cat d series or even a JD or case and it's not trying to be. This machine is filling the gap between a small skid-steer and a full size crawler dozer. The maneuverability and quickness of this are quicker like a wheeled vehicle but with the stability and traction of a crawler. I would think front implements like the brush grinder and maybe a loader are avail along with a blade as options without having to buy a blade first. This would be awesome for pulling a 5000 gal spray trailer to prep and feed a field before planting. And for you people saying it's under powered, any high volume hydraulic device will cause the engine to do that. My old JD back hoe would do that with a breaker on in place of the bucket when I turned it on and off, regardless of load
@jeffreid33415 жыл бұрын
This is a dedicated forest mulcher. It shouldn't even be compared to a dozer. It's basically a skid steer on steroids.

To be honest I suspect there are better machines for taking care of latanea and regrowth, this one does not mulch the stump in the ground.
