They NEED to do a reprint of 4 asap for everyone that doesn't have it yet. Vol. 1 to 3 had reprints last year, and 5 first time released. I'm currently reading Vol. 3 and love the fact that I have another 2 volumes after it to read in chronological order!

...its funny you said you didnt like Jack Kirbys work until later. I was the same..as a kid I hated Golden/Silver age Kirby art...but now that im older..its fantastic and got Kirby fever as well as Steve Ditkos art. I just bought the Marvel museum Spiderman book!

It's weird, but I feel nostalgic about his art, even though I never really saw any of his art until I was an adult. There's something about it that feels so accurate to that era. Love it!

Kingpin started as a spidey villain, and daredevils first appearance was in spider man too. Both in vol 1

I remembered the Daredevil appearance in Spidey Vol 1! But Kingpin shows up Vol 2 issue 50.

I also have Vol 4 in shrinkwrap...I spent $225 for Vol. 3 a few months ago, which is the most I've spent on an Omni so far. Good overview, I read some of these issues in Essentials when I was a kid, but I'm excited to read these in color and oversized. But I have to disagree with you on Volume 1, I think it has some of the best Spidey stories that I've ever read , even if it is dated in the art and writing.

Haha I noticed you really keep mentioning how you don't like Alex Ross' art. While I agree I don't like his covers for omnis, I really love his art. Try reading "Marvels" (Kurt Busiek is the writer), his art really shines there and it's one of the best Marvel stories too. I haven't read it myself, but I heard "Kingdom Come" (Mark Waid is the writer) is a great story too and Ross' art there from what I've seen is also glorious.

Sometimes I do appreciate Ross' art... but it doesn't seem like I'm reading a comic book with his art. It's weird. It's realistic maybe...? But I have heard good things about Kingdom Come as well, so I'll probably give that a shot at some point.

They have been doing a good job with Spidey reprints this year... so it COULD happen near the end of the year... I'm hoping for you!!

You do not like Alex Ross but prefer Humberto Ramos, really?! And you like Romita Jr. I don't think I will take your channel seriously...

Lol then don't? I can't change the style that I find appealing. I grew up with Romita Jr. so his work brings me back to being a kid and reading Spidey for the first time. And Ross isn't my cup of tea. It's too different from everything else I look at and doesn't feel like a comic when I'm reading his work.

JRJr has slipped in the last decade or so but his 80s and 90s work is great...I'm not a fan of his newer stuff, but he has too many great runs to act like he sucks (X-Men twice, Spider-Man a gang of times, Daredevil, Iron Man twice, Punisher War Zone, Wolverine etc) I'm a fan of Alex Ross too, though...the variety of styles is one of the beauties of comics, but I do think that Humberto Ramos cover is hideous lol

@@silverkyle Maybe I was too harsh. I will give it a try to your channel and follow it. Rewatching your video I notice that you put down the Ramos cover and you say that you would have preferred the Romita Sr cover. Now I respect this channel a little more.

@@dannyc8876 I would have much preferred the Romita Sr cover. His art is excellent, especially when you compare the two Green Goblins, Romita's is so much better than the version Ramos created. And have you seen the cover Amazing Fantasy 15 by Ross? His Spider-Man in that version looks like the Spider-Man from the Japanese tv show. His Hulk covers I can like though.
