"those things send us down a road, they make us who we are,and if anyone is destined for greatness, it's you son. You owe the world your gifts, you just have to figure out how to use them, and know that wherever they take you, we'll always be there.”
In 2015, I started my youtube channel with a Peter & Gwen video. 6 years after, with all those Spider-Man events going on, I thought It was finally time to visit again those movies. They had such an impact on me when I first watched them and I totally love Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man.
This video feels like going home for me, so I hope you'll enjoy it.

I think andys spidey was the coolest and suited the characterisations in the comics as well. He was young and reckless and then bad things happend to him and he changed. The internal evolution was beautifully acted out. We could never separate Spiderman from Andrew like we can't do it in the case of Iron man and RDJ. Ps : Tom Holland spiderman is so dull. It doesn't give you any feelings.

And as time goes on, I try my best to forget about other people's opinions and focus on making my own. Art is subjective after all. @Isaac Garcia What is so bad about TASM 2? The plot was meant to build up to TASM 3 which got cancelled. The CGI in TASM 2 was beyond spectacular, especially that fight scene with Electro. If anything, TASM captures the reality of how dark it is to be spiderman.

@@ryantan9988 ohhhh boy, first off the opening of the movie is kinda dumb like spiderman is joking with the guy who plays the rhino while he smashes a semi truck through busy traffic while he could just stop him instantly. While he’s also late for graduation so he shouldn’t be messing around, then the entire side plot of Peter finding out his parents are spies and the underground train thingo was so unnecessary. And when Harry finds out he’s sick, he starts to die instantly where as his farther lasted years with it? Electro is a underproduced villain and why does the electricity fix the gap in his teeth? So dumb lmao. And the first movie had one villain. One. This one has like 6 and only 3 get half the amount of screen time they need to be actually compelling to the story. Man there’s so so so many things wrong with that movie. If you want to see the brutal dark reality of what it would be like to be Spider-Man, watch the first 2 sam raimi Spider-Man films

I'd argue that it's got everything a great movie needs, but tries to handle a little too much. Building up to TASM3 isn't a good argument in my opinion because a movie shoulf still work on its own. That said I personally love TASM2, mostly for the suit and the swinging. It shows us a vulnerable Spiderman who still needs to understand what responsibility means for him. That is something a MCU Spiderman will never be able to do. If you leave out green goblin and build more on Max/Electro I think it might have bern flawless. Rhino in my opinion works perfectly as a kind of two bookends. Oh and yeah, keep out the father stuff, almost forget that because it's so unnecessary.

Andrew's Spider-Man feels like the most realistic honestly. From how to suit looks, to how he swings, to how he acts. At the end of the day, Peter Parker is a good kid, but he's still a kid. Uncle Ben taught him responsibility, and he first saw the weight of that responsibility when Ben died. But he's still human, and he still wants the best of both worlds, but wants to help people as well. He's stubborn, so he wants Gwen Stacy with him even with the dangers of being Spider-Man. Where did that lead him? He had to relearn responsibility again, the hard way. It just feels so sincere and natural, and human. Paired with Garfield's top tier acting and his chemistry with Stone, and it's easily the most modern human Spider-Man ever.

He is the most damaged Peter Parker as far as I know, he suffered so much, and I feel the pain, it felt so hurt, but he gave me courage. His relationship with his family, and each of his relatives, his bestfriend, and especially he and Gwen, are so beautiful, because it shows what might happen in real world, it's an hostile place. Besides him, I really loved the Tobey's version for his relationship with Harry. Nevertheless I saw Andrew's version was more complex, there are more variables contributed on his development, I'm grateful that you give his version the credit, at least for anyone who love it, thank you my friend, it's a remarkable one.

Peter only blames himself because had he just picked up Aunt May the argument would’ve never happened. I know you probably won’t see this comment as I’m a bit late to the party, and you probably receive to many to raid all of them, but I just wanted to thank you for this tribute. The Amazing Spider-Man films are some of my absolute favorite movies ever created, and it makes me incredibly disheartened to see people criticize them and complain about how terrible they are. Many claim that these movies don’t understand the heart of the character. But in my opinion, that couldn’t be further from the truth. These movies capture the very essence and soul of Spider-Man and what he stands for. The thing I love most about Peter Parker comes from a very dark place. Terrible things happen to him all the time, and life keeps brutally pounding him down. And yet, he still gets back up. He pushes through the pain and the suffering, and never backs down. And he doesn’t become cynical from all the trauma. No, instead he does his best to make sure that nobody else around him has to feel that way. Whether that be his Aunt May, some kid who gets bullied, or a hardworking man that gets ignored by everyone. He doesn’t wallow in self pity like so many others would. Sure, he stumbles. He makes mistakes, and he blames himself for things that he can’t control. But that just makes him all the more human. I personally feel like too many people mark Garfield’s Spider-Man off as being too “edgy” to be an accurate representation of the character. And yet, this edit proves that thought process completely wrong. The TASM films understood the whole “never give up ” aspect of Peter. These films are imbued with hope. Not just for the characters in the film, but also those watching it. These movies have a very special place in my heart. Every time I watch it, I feel inspired to be a better man. And at the same time, I relate to Peter on a personal level. Your tribute captures the exact heart and tone of the movies. I know I’ll be watching it on repeat. This (and all your other tributes) are beautiful. I can’t even imagine how long it takes to go through the movies and pick out scenes that flow together, and match it with music that fits. I feel like a simple “thank you” isn’t quite enough, but it’s all I can offer to you. Keep up the spectacular, awe-inducing work Slyfer, your tributes mean the world to me and so many others. I would've liked to see more emphasis on Peter's search for a father. In particular, the bonding scenes with his uncle, Connors, and reuniting Jack with his Crane Dad (lol). Not to mention the scenes with Crane Dad and his co-workers helping Spider-Man, as well as the scenes showing how Peter and Flash's relationship progressed. After countless re-watches of TASM and months of reading the original lee & ditko run I really felt like Andrew's Spider-Man & Peter Parker is the definitive version of spidey, it felt like his movies were the prequel to Marvel's Spider-Man (PS4) Which is Quite frankly the best incarnation of the character to date, dont get me wrong Im a Tobey fanboy and I actually liked Tom's portrayal of the character but damn, Andrew Garfield captured it, he embodies who Peter Parker is, From the sense Responsibility to the playfulness and that trickster attitude and the Web swinging, they're not my favorite movies, (TASM 1 is a really solid Spidey film tho) the crown still goes to the raimi-verse, but hotdamn, Andrew Garfield IS Spider-Man.

7 years after that second movie and this feels like it just came out and I witnessed the movie for the first time again. It's incredible how after this many years and hundreds of edits out there, you manage to make the best of the best. The first part was SO epic and all the parallels of fighting, flying and falling you found made it so dynamic while also building your video up to create such magnificent storytelling. The transition in the first part when the lizard throws him away, and then Gwen's dad taking his mask off as if he's coming back into focus and then coming back to the scene before and showing him lading on his feet was so smart ! The second part... even by seeing Gwen's death hundred times, this felt so true and so emotional and so new, mostly because of the placements of the scenes that I don't think I ever saw before. The "dont make promises you can keep" and "but those are the best kind" and then just putting the clip of him starting the web to catch Gwen... WTF The web coming in on her and him catching her at the bridge... is what everyone wished would have happened "Do I have to lose you too" and then the clip of the web forming a hand... Everything leading up to her craking her head and everyone falling around her in complete silence felt to the contrary so powerful and loud ! What a masterpiece ! The best video on Andrew's spidey !

I think this was one of the first movies that made me cry, when Gwen dies and there is no music, just RAW heartbroken emotions and crying and pain… THAT! Is what made that scene powerful, I hate in movies where they try do the same but add music over the top and ruins the whole “moment of silence for the pain the person is feeling” it stayed true, he lost someone he loved, and the movie stayed with that till the end, instead of most movies where they lose someone and a second later they act like the nothing ever happened.

Andrew's Spider-Man is really underrated and overhated. I get that the movies weren't the best but Andrew poured his entire heart into the role. He has been a spider-man fan ever since he was 3 and was a fantastic casting for Spider-Man(No, he was not "too cool" or "too good looking"). Can't wait for this legend to return in no way home.

The best Spider-Man and Peter Parker ever. The Amazing Spider-Man movies really embody the character and how painful it is to be Spider-Man. And you really made a good tribute to that idea, Love your work, love Spider-Man and looking forward to No Way Home a lot

YES ! I have been waiting for this video since the day you announced it and oh boy was the wait worth it ?! I always knew this has potential to become my favorite tribute video on youtube and I think it did. I think I might love this even more than I love your Wanda video. Your work always inspires and motivates me and this time it's not different in any way ! In my opinion you are the best editor on youtube and you always will be. Your videos are just levels above anyone else's. This is just a real work of art.

The scene where May loses it and says, "You're my boy," is still the best scene in any Spiderman movie ever. Tom can look the part the best, Tobey may have the Best Villains, but that scene is the core of Spiderman and yeah, fuck. I just loved his Peter. Loved it
