I have lived in NZ all my life and have visited many places to see rocks but I have never even heard of this place. Thank you for sharing this information. I will seek out more details.

It would be nicer to enjoy the area the boulders are in . It's a new bit of New Zealand, that I didn't know about, yet have been in the area thruout my life.

Very interesting! The tree growing right through the center of one of the boulders was really cool. The mudstone centers are also amazing, that they would stay fairly soft while the accretions hardened around them. I'm in Eastern Pennsylvania, US and found you through Shawn Willsey's channel...both of you show fantastic places I'll never get to visit, so thanks!

I’m living in Australia but Kiwi by birth. I had a Great Aunt who lived in Shanklin Isle of Wight. I remember her Post Cards at Christmas times.

I am kicking myself! Our family lived in New Zealand for the last several years and we saw so many of the geological features you highlight on this channel. However, the last twelve months we spent over there we lived in Hawke's Bay and we had never even heard of these. I am so disappointed we missed them haha

You guys certainly have a lot of geological features - tough we're not short of them either - weather permitting I am taking the wee un to see the hanging valley in Borrowdale :) OR if it isn't good enough, then Wastwater and Scafell Pike it is.

If the mudstone was formed 3 million years ago by sediment settling under the water, where did the sediment come from? Cause its not like the sediment that washes down the south islad rivers, its mud
