The tank looks absolutely amazing!! I love the Amazon aquascape or biotope if you will. I can’t wait to see if the leopard frog pleco will breed in this environment. As well as you breeding the neon tetras. I hope you will continue to build biotope or aquascaping more on the channel

This is actually a niche I haven't seen in the fishtubers I follow. There's legends like Serpa Design, but there's not really people showing off how to scape when you aren't talented at carpentry. I really appreciated seeing this scape and how easy it is. As someone who is not visually artistic, hearing why you are placing things in the tank and where helps me understand a little more about how to scape. Give me music and I can tell you things about its composition. Give me a novel and I can pick out themes and interesting parts of it. I can't for the life of me comment about pictures or decorating choices beyond, "it pretty".

I shall be really interested to see how this works out. Accepted wisdom within the hobby is that any wood should have all the bark removed and certain trees should be avoided, eucalyptus being pretty near the top of the list. I really hope this works out because in my locality there are very few trees and all of them are on the 'prohibited' list. My LFS is a 10 hour boat trip away and the cost of importing any sort of driftwood is prohibitive. Please keep us updated, it looks great.

Love it! Blackwater is my fav tank scape style. Keep an eye out for magnolia trees in your local area - the dried seed pods look great in these set ups and are a decent size that don't break down as quickly as other botanicals. Otherwise "blackwater aquariums" online sells a bunch of botanicals if you want to add some extra elements to tank. So does Mappins Nursery next time you're in West End. Hope to see a few more tanks like this in the fish room one day :)

I just recently stumbled across your channel, so glad it showed up on my YT feed. You got a great thing going on her and I’m truly enjoying each video you’ve put out. I’m from Brantford Ontario Canada and in my city we don’t have many options for LFS, however 45 mins away near Toronto there is a ton more options. I’ve been in the hobby for quiet sometime but have never tried breeding any fish. I’m feeling inspired to try something!!

Cool video! Haven’t watched your videos in awhile, so I’m bingeing a lot of them today. I totally understand your feelings at the end when you get to scape this tank again. I have recently got back on my aquascaping hobby, so I totally get that. There’s literally no better feeling. That being said, I appreciate all the breeding videos you’ve done. Definitely pique my interest in maybe breeding fish in the future.

Like the look, but thinking so many branches are going to be in your way, and the plants are going to have a tough time stuck in those dark corners. BUT, the fish ought to enjoy your efforts and should settle in nicely.

Looks good mate pretty risky using botanicals from a park the workers spray weeds especially in Summer. Encouraging people to collect from beaches is illegal too and pretty frowned upon. Next time try pool filter sand it doesn't need rinsing.

Doesnt boiling the leaves remove all tannins too? U can get leaves online which are safe but ordering stuff gets expensive fast, your right. Why did you buy sand when you are lucky enough to live near a beach? Maybe boiling the sand, just to be safe? Nice work, nice tanks, i enjoyed your vid 👍

I personally would've gone with different sand. Not sure what type of sand it is exactly, but some paver or filler sand is made out of crushed / recycled rocks and concrete. Might want to double check the parameters not being affected too much by it.

Heya Guys, I have a question for everyone. I'm wanting to get a 94 litre tank and put in 1 female betta, 6 neon tetras, 6 mollies, 6 guppies, 2 loaches, 2 zebra snails and 6 elder guppies Would this be a good sized tank? Also, what live plants would people suggest I add? I'm wanting to have a bioactive tank that doesn't require much changing. Thanks for any advice people have for this

I need help, can anyone give me a hand? I'm setting up a planted Amazonian aquarium. The current fauna in this aquarium consists of 4 neon tetras and 4 albino lemon tetras. The fish are all fine, but one of the albino lemon tetras hasn't eaten for two days and seems to be gasping for air. It swims very little and appears somewhat lethargic. No other fish show any similar symptoms; they're all doing well. The water parameters are fine. I don't want to euthanize the fish and I don't have a quarantine tank. Does anyone have any suggestions about what might be going on and what I can do to help it recover?
