This is a music video style fanvid to the 1995 movie "The American President" - my favorite movie of all time. Starring Michael Douglas and Annette Benning. Enjoy!

I ♥ The American President, too. Bening and Douglas had excellent chemistry in the film, and, yes, I couldn't get the gorgeous song "I Have Dreamed" out of my head. Also, back when TAP was released, it was wonderful not to see Michael Douglas out of his pants -- after Fatal Attraction and Basic Instinct. In TAP the acting, chemistry (not only between the principals, but also among the stellar ensemble cast), burgeoning romance, wit and film score all made the film.

The music for the dance drove me crazy until I found out it is called "I have dreamed" and it's from the "King and I" by Rodgers and Hammerstein. Thanks for posting with this music as a background,

This was exquisitely done. Your timing for the development of the story and their relationship along with the music was first rate.

Ohhhhh my......what a special treat. I just adored this movie; I'd be embarrassed to say how many times I've watched this movie on TV!! If I'm scrolling through the 'on screen' TV guide and I see it's playing I can't help switching to that channel. And this particular piece of music (when the characters danced at the State Dinner) just stayed with me. I love it.....so, so beautiful. The music and the whole dance scene. This video (wonderful editing) is so perfectly matched to a very lovely piece of music.

I HAVE DREAMED LO MEJOR DE RICHARD RODGERS Y OSCAR HAMMERSTEIN.
