This was an excellent teaching tool. Revelation is the key on both sides. This was some good stuff. Nehemia hit the point of Luke 24. Yeshua had to reveal these things from the Tanakh. They were NOT obvious to all. That is classic Yehovah! He is the Master of hiding things in His Word for us to find. On one hand Nehemia sounded like he was refuting the several prophecies but he wasn’t. I am looking forward to hearing more next week. To Nehemiah: I think what those revelations of those Prophecys stem from, is what has been revealed to Rabbi itzchak Shapira, of how Moses was first and foremost a PROPHET. As it says in Duet. At the end...never since in Israel been a PROPHET, like Moses. So understanding Joseph, Moses,Jacob(Israel)...are prophetic pictures of the Messiah. How they become rulers in forien lands(Christanity) rejected by Thier brothers, or sold etc.(Judaisim) and then they yell out "I AM JOSEPH "(A JEW)... And the Egyptions and the brothers(Jews) are in shock...And Joseph saved all Israel!(remind you of Paul's revelation and the fullness of gentiles?) Moses alike ruler, loved and adored in Egypt, to only save Israel. Jacob(Israel) clothed himself as Esau but HAD THE VOICE of Jacob. ESAU was out to kill him, he fled to his uncle's who was a idol worshipper, became a slave there, and left with abundance....Like wise Yeshua will flee back to Judaisim with a abundance of ppl from the foreign land(christanity). These patterns after having my mind opend to them, from the first one from Shapira (about Jacob and esau) just keep coming, you see the prophets doing the same thing thru-out! It's amazing. I love this episode because this is something that I've often wondered about. I hear, hears Jesus in the OT and then they point to some verse. Many times I've wondered though, how is that Jesus? And it seems to me like they act like it should be obvious. Well I'm, not so sure about that. Nehemia, I was taught all of this at College. I am still a Christian. What have I missed? In Acts 2 Peter tells us which prophecies spoke of the death and resurrection, and he quotes them. Mostly Psalms 16 and 110. Acts 13 as well, many OT passages. Psalm 2. We don’t have to guess. At the same time I respect the reading you have done and the insights you have. However, how about looking at the apostolic sermons of what they called the proclamation of the resurrection? That way we will get to the meat.
