I think the newer ones were real. to an extent. Some things were scripted, but certain parts (mainly grandpa) were real in the words that were said. Grandpa got happier and improved health wise over the years, which is why they were less "real" with the anger.

Can’t believe it’s been over 5 years since we lost AGP. Michael , Bridgette. Watching this again and hearing AGP saying everything bad happens between thanksgiving and Christmas is so upsetting.
