Not sure if you know much about Ham radio operators, but they tend to be conspiracy theorists. I've tried to research some of the things he brings up, and can't find a thing, other than some obscure blog spot. His biggest issue is that he repeats himself every week, and has become quite infatuated with world events rather than digging into the Word of God. I do pray for him, but I can't continue to attend that congregation, because I wasn't being fed the Word; just a bunch of worldly things that cause fear and worry, and we know where that comes from.

Don't get me wrong, we are supposed to be aware, as you said, but we need to pray for these pastors that get so deep into current events. They start making accusations about ALL churches and ALL Christians, and say, "We aren't ready", over and over and over, Sunday in and Sunday out, but never tells the people HOW to get ready. I don't care what the banks are doing, the Word of God already tells us it's all going to hell. Revelation is about the unveiling of Jesus, and we are to LOOK for HIIM, and not get all caught up and worried about politics and current events. The Bible has EVERYTHING we need, and the news doesn't have a single thing we need. Jesus is sufficient. I need Him right now, and I am talking to Him right now. He always tells me, "Fear not, I have overcome the world." That's pretty awesome.

I feel that way too! The world is heading towards an "anything goes" way of life. Growing up in the 50's and 60's women still wore hats and gloves to church. Now people wear PJ's on planes. BIG changes are evident! No one can say one nation under GOD in public schools. If you have been around long enough, as I have, you can't ignore the moral decline of society.
