Mother Eater is a horrifying creature, yes. But her actual theme, fits way better with what Digimon is.

Sheenpai LovesU I don’t know. When I listen to it, it doesn’t strike me as a final boss theme. It strikes me as a remix of the main theme with the beginning of the 4th Movement tagged on, and the cut off between the two is somewhat jarring as the two styles differ so wildly. In the end, it doesn’t sound like final boss music at all, which is why I would have preferred the 4th Symphony straight, or maybe even a remix of it done in the Digimon style. As it stands, this song does not make me think of a final boss, and as such, it doesn’t make me think of Mother Eater. Last Cyber Attack from the sequel does a better job of combining classical music and boss music without losing the feeling of the classical music that they used as inspiration throughout the song. For The Anticipated New World, the first half sort of cuts off and a completely new style starts that doesn’t have that same foreboding air that the song began with. That’s just my opinion, though.

I'm glad they didn't use the whole song. This is way more fitting with how it carries the intensity throughout the song rather than building up at the start and dropping off to something much less intense. Personally speaking, "From the New World" drops off at the same point as this song picks up and keeps the intensity. I don't find the original song to be fitting for final boss beyond the intro because of that drop off neutering any sense of "this is it, the final fight" and instead giving a feel of "you stand before the king who is giving a speech but isn't going to attack you" Personal opinion is that "From the new world" sounds like cutscene music, not final boss or even battle music. I have listened all the way through as well.

@@AkariEnderwolf Sorry if i did end up confusing things. but if we are comparing this one to fx the variation that appears in "Asuras Wrath" and One Piece, i have to agree. Anticipated New World is better as a Final boss theme, the "Normal" iteration fits more as Climax Boss.. just imo ofc.

I know this is 4 years after your comment but thank you. I'd never heard of Antonin Dvorak or his Symphony so I heard this with fresh ears, saw you comment and listened to the original and I have to say I love both. So thank you for your comment. :)

@@combativeThinker The team I used to steamroll Mother Eater was Beelzemon Blast Mode, Lilithmon, & Rosemon Burst Mode. Very self-sufficient team with Rosemon's constant passive healing to the entire team every turn (plus her having tons of potent healing skills, and her signature skill deals good damage while also healing her), Lilithmon could just dish out absurd damage with Phantom Pain, & Beelzemon could dish out tons of damage while also healing himself with Corona Destroyer.

I only needed 3 Digimon to beat all forms of Mother Eater: Beelzemon Blast Mode, Rosemon Burst Mode, & Mastemon. I never needed to use any of my other Digimon I had as backup (which included Digimon like Lilithmon and Lucemon).

Combo chain+ acceleration boost go brrr

Any AoE nuke destroys the boss. Mastemon's HP cut is stupid broken too.

Dukemon Crimson Mode, GranKuwagamon and Slayerdramon broke the battle for me. They all have DEF-penetrating attacks, it was so easy lol

Mine was close to yours except for Armageddemon was replaced with Mastemon

I actually didn't even use any of the Royal Knights against Mother Eater, I only used a single Demon Lord alongside 2 other Digimon. I only needed 3 Digimon in total to beat it: Beelzemon Blast Mode, Rosemon Burst Mode, and Mastemon.

Try him on hard mode, he rips through teams with ease.

He was still a joke on hard mode. Combining attack charge and acceleration boost with WarGreymon's Great Tornado proved extremely effective.
