Oh hey here’s a candidate that can’t win because of their terrible business plan. Brittany's inclusion in this series highlights a huge problem with the apprentice as a TV series. Half the contestants don't have a hope in hell of winning because their business plans are absolutely nonsense. Knowing this, Lord Sugar must go through their business plans way before the process even starts, because otherwise he could end up with 5 candidates who have awful business ideas. I think, from day 1, he has a good idea who he's giving the money to, maybe he's narrowed it down to 2-3 people and he's just checking to see how they do. Then there's 10 other "muppets" who they've picked to make the show entertaining. Brittany is one of them. Now... I feel sorry for Brittany because she seemed like an ordinary person who had an idea, and just decided to enter into the apprentice when she had no real idea of what she was doing business wise. Why was she put in the process? She wasn't put in there because she had an honest to god chance of winning. She was put in there to be made a fool of, because it makes good television, at the expense of the people who enter.

I don't think it was the product tbh. She was fired because she wasn't experienced nor qualified. She was someone who worked in a completely different sector, turned her hobby into a business and then, fkr whatever reason, decided to go after a £250,000 investment for expansion. She was just a little bit delusional.

Her product idea was actually good. I would actually buy what she was going to be selling if it tasted nice. A high protein low calorie alcoholic drink? That's a dream. When you're working out and trying to diet, incorporating alcohol is so difficult since it's so high calorie. It's the equivalent of an entire meal. Having that added protein element is even better because then it's contributing to your fitness goals instead of making you feel guilty. Her flaw was that her business plan wasnt a business plan. It was just an idea and she applied with only that and nothing else to explain how she was going to make that idea work. She was out of her depth.

Apprentice is so soft this year. It used to be more ruthless and exciting, but now it’s just watered down to make sure they don’t offend anyone. I’ve noticed this with many other TV and Netflix shows, they are more concerned with being politically correct and all-inclusive, rather than the goal of making the most entertaining show possible. If you want proof of what I’m saying, you can go back and watch any of the Apprentice seasons pre-covid, the vibe was completely organic and unapologetic. This year is going to be the last year I’m watching this show, however overall, this is probably the best British TV show that’s ever aired

I have since found out that about two weeks after the series aired the carbon offset for profit market was apparently banned by the UK government and the European union, you can now only do it as a charity format in the form of facilitating the process rather than doing it on their behalf, but it is all very very complicated but no matter what Lord sugar dodged a bullet!

If you're really serious about business you would know your numbers and account for variable change. With any product you need to work out cost to produce, volume, distribution, tax and vat etc. If your selling any product you should always make enough money to account for any possible returns and costs that you can accure that you haven't anticipated. Technology is one of the smartest businesses to get involved in because you haven't got any continuous manufacturing or distribution costs. You can develop something once and get paid a million times over for the same product. You haven't got to worry about huge overheads as everythings online.
