If only Dawna was on they're team she would have Ryan,Marcela,and leslie still be on the show then Marcela would have been her apprentice

Sadly - and to paraphrase Martha, she was a lamb among a den of lions. The idea of in effect having a mini Starbucks in the store had its positive points but took some of the focus away from the main task: to sell Tassimo machines. Other mistake they made early on was trying to charge $299.00 for them - much too much for a glorified Keurig machine which although it sounds like the capsules used are smarter than the K-Cups, those systems are incompatible with each other plus there's to me less variety among the Tassimo capsules than the K-Cups - just hope for the pricier Tassimo machines that they break down less often than the Keurig machines do.

when that blonde girl said "people don't want someone who is perfect they want to see flaws" Martha literally flipped ! and was soooo pissed ! because that is what she rtepresents ..perfectness . I think that sealed that blondes fate right there

If Amanda were on the other show and made that kind of remark, DT would have had apoplexy.

@@Nocturnalux Yes but you don't really want to tell your interviewer that their company should present itself as imperfect and flawed. She could have avoided the whole thing if she replaced the word "flawed" with "down-to-earth" or "personable".

I’m glad Marcella is still there. Amanda definitely did not support her and even though she had been strong in the past you shouldn’t ignore your PM when they need help.

So am I - all she did was butt heads with Marcela, mutter "whatever" under her breath and along with Ryan throw her under the bus.

You got to hand it to Jim. he really pulls through. He's like Dennis Rodman. Yes, he has his quirks, but if u give him a task, he can do it optimally. And he's actually a key component of the team; he does it in a different way. I felt him when he said he's gonna stand up and encourage Marcella because he's been in that position before where he's looked upon with a bad impression (some of it deserved), and people exploit him as a scapegoat. However, he's really one of the strongest players.

Good call MSteward to take Amanda out, Ryan should have been gone too...they both try to sabotage Marcella! Happy that snaky Jim help Marcella before going to the boardroom!!
@alexisdiva9
@alexisdiva9 Жыл бұрын
And that was a surprise regarding Jim the snake and his pep talk, especially since they were on different teams at that time. Before this I was dreading the future his newborn daughter as well as his other child would have as Jim as their Dad, hoping they had a wonderful Mom to offset his being such a snake. Was glad that fellow Latina Leslie at least was the only one on Matchstick who didn't throw Marcela under the bus.

Overall, I'm not a fan of Jim's but I like that he gave that pep talk to Marcela! Amanda is not a nice person - you can be competitive but still be nice.

I didn't like that Amanda said "whatever" under her breath when the team was butting heads over Marcella's strategy - I can't stand when someone uses that word under that context.

I'll say one thing about this show, it captures the real work environment; meaning, where its very difficult to have 'team players' because there's "always" that person or persons who will viciously set you up to fail & royally sabatoge you at every turn & simply could care less about the team player concept..its rather shocking just how far some ppl will go>>(I have stories) Often times company bosses are not aware of the extent of how deep the cut throats goes...ultimately causing the hard working ethical person to leave or even fired bc they were set up by the snakes they were dealing with even falsely accusing, etc. i.e. If I could send out a letter to every corporate boss I'd want to bring this important point of contention to the forefront..and that is be very very careful who you hire as a manager because I have seen more times then I can count where the manager is the biggest part of the problem; and here are few examples: the employee who far surpasses the others & who will have thorough product knowledge & often knowing far more then the manager & works the hardest, always on time ect. is often hated by the #manager' who now fears this employee vs appreciating this type...The likes of this kind of #manager will be in fear of the outstanding employee stealing his or her job & will do #everything' imaginable to sabotage the star employee; & it will even get worse if clients/customers start to compliment that employee to the manager; big mistake of the well meaning client...Naturally a secure manager would be thrilled to have this kind of employee but the kind of managers I'm speaking of (which is more the norm) will be even more threatened by this praise that the employee has received... & this is so common unfortunately bc its often the sycophantic dirty pool player types who gets promoted as manager but who are not qualified but simply talks a good game & behave with a split personality towards his/her superiors then to the employees completely manipulating his/her superiors. Companies are often left with the worse employees bc the good ones are push out by an insecure unethical manager like I've described & I've seen this time & time again.

While I don't think it was wise of Dawna to be a rogue agent (as Jim put it), it's humorous that Jim didn't get why she preferred going alone.

Selling tea and coffee machines, soooo one gets someone from the sopranos, and the other gets a pastry chef….. one also wants to outsource the task to another company to do for them…. Wow, are these really the best america in offer, they are an embarrassment and stop telling people you have 30k to spend….😮😂😂😂😂

They could’ve given people free machines and payed for them out of the 40k…. Better than waste it on nothing, a chef and catering 😂 so absolutely clueless, embarrassing is an understatement. No team won anything, they go to see Martha’s house 😂 and go on a boat … whoopy, they are so lucky, I’d do anything for that amazing prize… wow 😂😂

She wants to show how different she is from Trump - definitely kinder and gentler. Also, it takes more thinking to come up with kinder phrases than "you're fired" when eliminating someone from the competition. I also liked that she hand wrote every eliminated candidate a letter that usually praised a person's positive aspects, explained why they were eliminated, gave them kind words of advice plus words of encouragement
