In this video we visit the little known archaeological site of Juvanum in Abruzzo, Italy, where some really big blocks of stone can be found.

I love your videos. I'm from France. I wonder what is your niche on KZfaq ? Great job on Etruscans and Romans. Thanks. 👍

There must have been a large population there in the past to quarry and work those large blocks ! If it was done before the Romans, who do you think was responsible, and when ? You are so lucky to be able to visit sites like this, where I am in a remote part of Australia there is nothing like this. I do find flint tools, but they could be 100 years old or 50000 years old; there is no way of knowing.

It was allegedly done by a population called the Semnites, pre-roman people living in central Italy before and during the romans. Cheers!

If you think there is nothing in Aus. I suggest taking a look around Telfer W.A. Then compare it with Tsodilo Hills Botswana. Satalite views are revealing.

When you observe this original Site, it is HIGHLY ERODED; & is still underground to a vast extent. Any know Culture that added unto this did not excavate! Roman & other layers do not take away the age of these Ancients! 460,000 years old at least.
@conradsmith2441Ай бұрын
Why do you think it is so old? Not that I disagree, I only wonder what the reasoning is behind your assumption.
@fennynough6962Ай бұрын
@conradsmith2441 Ancient Archeologists have never understood the fact that Geo-Time-Dating, & Geology, itself, is embedded into Giza. Proof of the original Megolithic, [non-motered]; construction is proved by what was subsequently filled in above them. Layering is not even mentioned? Repairs, reconstructions, add on's, etc: are obviously from a different civilization. Salt Water Depositing, Geology of accumulated Sediment in undisturbed soil is 100,000 years removed from Bedrock. Megadisaster destruction of sites, & and erosion slope & rates are 100,000's of years old. There is no evidence that Egyptians were even close to these indisputable facts. This & Snowball Earth; [a Megadisaster, freeze out event, causing centuries of plumiting temperatures]; ( & forcing man underground to stay alive); & lastly Sea level rise over 600,000 years ago, is a dead give away.

Very ancient place but no nubs. Were there any artifacts found in the area that were pre-roman? Have archeologists excavated the site?
@StoneRiddles3 ай бұрын
Yes, in the nearby museum (closed at the time of my visit) there are artifacts of the Samnites, an italic population who lived in the area. Archaeologists are still wondering where they took the resources to build the city, later colonized by the romans and later again by christian communities. The site has been excavated but still needs further excavation.
