I just finished working my way through "The Art of Whimsical Lettering" by Joanne Sharpe so I thought I'd give you my thoughts on this book as well a flip through of my completed "Letter Love Journal" that was the main project of this book and will serve as a creative reference for me for many years to come. Wow!! This is am amazingly beautiful book you created. I love it. I’m wondering are you still creating this type of art? It’s so lovely. I struggle to let go and be loose with my work that I’ve ever tried. Thank you for this 🩷

Absolutely one of my favorite KZfaq videos ever! Great review, I’m now interested in her book for myself but also your sketchbook was awesome and so beautiful and creative! And my personal favorite thing about your video was your “talking style”. You didn’t go on and on like so many do, you didn’t overshare or under share, you weren’t annoying, so thank you, it was a real joy to be inspired by your video.

You did such a good job reviewing the book and showing off your lovely lettering journal. Coincidentally, I'm on the last chapter of the book and can't wait to get started on my own lettering journal. I get hung up on seeing die cut letters and words which, naturally, look so perfect but have no personality, yet I strive for perfection in my work. Bahhh! I need to get over it! Thank you!

Hi Jacki......what and where can I find the sketch book that you used??? I have Joanne's book and have read it and even dabbled a little bit, but after watching your video and seeing your AMAZING journal, I think I will go back and really give it a whirl. Are you aware that Joanne has a FREE class that goes thru the book, lesson by lesson?? She is Awesome!!! Thank you for sharing!!!!!!

Hi TouchedByAngels2! It's seriously the most basic sketchbook, anything will work. Mine is an 8.5"x11" Above Ground Art sketchbook (it's from a local store here in Toronto) that I've trimmed down to 6.5"x8.5". It's just a single signature sketchbook with a cardstock cover, not fancy in any way. I'm so excited to hear you're going to try it again! I wasn't aware of the class, thank you for telling me! I'll check it out for sure. Here's a link to my sketchbook.
