This recording is a work of art in itself. Thank you Carl.

Thank you, Mark. It’s one of my favorite books and I felt like I got to know Henri well while producing this.

Thank you Carl, I heard about this book last week and have been trying to listen to it while painting but it was not available on KZfaq until today. Thank you again.

Thank you so much for taking the time to produce this, Carl - it's just wonderful! As you have such a soothing voice & choose beautifully calm interval music I'm often lulled to sleep. Like your podcasts - each one will take quite a few sessions to complete 😂 Sometimes I rewind all the way back to 5-10mins in - can't believe how quickly I drop off 😅

Carl, thank you so much for uploading this. Was desperate to listen to this as I was painting. Imagine it took a lot of time and effort!

Henri is pronounced AWN-ree
@CarlOlsonArt5 ай бұрын
No. Not in Robert Henri’s case. When he took on the alias Robert Henri when his family was running from and going into hiding from Cozad, Nebraska, he did not know the proper French pronunciation. Throughout his life he always pronounced it as Hen Rye.

@@CarlOlsonArt fascinating! Learn something new every day. My favorite audiobook is David Lynch's "Catching the Big Fish" and he pronounces it AWN-ree. I've heard that audiobook so many times I never questioned it!

I totally understand. It was quite a revelation to me, too. I go into the story a bit here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/kN9zfMyQtcu1hZ8.htmlsi=eGHT2siE8mtX02N0
