I don’t know, but Artie is definitely cruising in 5th gear.

I know this is 8 years later lol......but the fact he was even on this show I had no clue. I live I'm philly and he actually talks non stop. He has a radio show with another dude for like 3 hours a day. But it's sports talk which he's interested in.

Alright, I'm gonna help you out, since I keep seeing your posts on here, and old Howard Stern clips. John Ritchie ended up becoming Artie's sidekick, because he played in the NFL and also played guitar. If you ever watched the full "Artie Lange Show," when it was on the Audience channel, on Direct TV, you'd know they'd have athletes and musicians (bands) on the show. So yes, when there's a comedian on, John is out of his element. But when there would be bands on to perform or athletes on as guests, Artie would revert to John all the time. There were even times I remember when Artie looked like the clueless, outta place one!

yeah. but he's so bland and lack edginess.. for example when craig carton was on, he even said "you're in radio now Jon don't be afraid to make it interesting" or something along those lines when they were talking about Donavan McNabb. he literally gave very little insight and what not and I've heard him comment on music and he says stuff like "they are a really good band".. just not very informative or rememberable. I remember him playing on the eagles and that this show was suppose to be able sports for a significant part of it but in that case get an ex-athlete or individual up on music that has a better personality than this.. i mean i tried to give him a chance but at this point I've seen so many episode to know he has NEVER said or made a conversation interesting.

I'll just accept your opinion than brother, since you actually watched the show, and you're not just going off these 10 minute clips with comedians, where he is obviously outta his element!

yeah, i totally understand he's out of his element, but then 2 things, either 1 get someone more personable who is capable of adapting and adding to conversations when not being an expert, or 2. at least try and think of something to say, don't just sit there like a mamaluke. its almost like he's not even trying
