Have been here and it’s controlled from BLR IIAP Indian institute of astro physics, we stayed for a night at this place in 2008 excellent hospitality and Internet in middle of nowhere! Entire land space can be seen at night without the light no vehicle is allowed to use headlights at night to avoids light dispersion and you can see far far away without any light as the night sky kits up the entire place not the moon but the Milky Way and stars do! Can’t be leave have to be experienced, we even spotted a fox at night without any light
