@@user-vf5oo5yg1b I'm not sure what book it is but I'm guessing it was the story about Abu Hanifa ra meeting with an athiest convoy to debate. He was late and the athiest said this is bad manners Abu Hanifa apologize s and said on his journey here from his home he has to cross a river but there was no boat. He thought how was he going to cross the river. And suddenly down stream a tree falls and starts to make it self into a boat then comes up stream and then I crossed the river and came. The athiest said that is impossible, Abu Hanifa ra said if you don't even believe that is possible how can you believe the heavens and the earth came from nothing. The above is me recalling what I remember of the story and I may have made a mistake in it's retelling.

Yeah shamsi (hafidhahullaah) said good point It is not a requirement that a Muslim “prove” his faith by way of scientific proofs for the existence of Allaah. Unfortunately this is a methodology promoted by some modernists - they claim that unless a Muslim is able to furnish scientific proofs for the existence of their Lord, that their faith (Imaan) is deficient. This is a false claim. The first obligation is to actually declare one’s faith in in Allaah, not to learn scientific proofs after having assumed a position of doubt. Secondly, in the Qur’an where are we enjoined to reflect upon the natural phenomena around us, this is in order for us to reflect, ponder and as a consequence affirm His sole right to be worshipped. The proof of the existence of a Creator by way of the the creation is not the primary issue, as that is a matter that is beyond doubt, as Allaah has said in Surah Ibrahim, “Is there any doubt concerning Allaah, the Originator and creator of the heavens and earth?“. When we look at the explanations of such verses in the Qur’an we find the orthodox Muslim commentators explain how these natural phenomena are a proof that the sole right for all forms of worship belong to Allaah, and Allaah alone. Thus, the primary purpose in reflection upon the creation is to acknowledge that none has the right to be worshipped except Allaah alone, and not to merely affirm that He is the creator and originator. So when we are involved in the discussion of the existence of a creator, we need to bear these things in mind.

Assalamu alaikum It is very important to realize that many people today are unable to understand why the world begins to exist because they buy into a false understanding of creation. Many of us feel obliged to speak about the creation of the world out of nothing at the Big Bang in order to demonstrate God's existence. The truth is that we have never seen anything created ex nihilo or out of nothing. As Ibn Taymiyya clarifies, observation and scripture only indicate that things are created in place of other things. For example, a tree is created in place of soil. Man is created in place of semen. Fire is created in place of wood. This is enough to know Allah's existence. This approach to understanding creation is far more powerful than trying to prove that something was created by Allah out of nothing. It is more than enough to understand that Allah creates one thing in place of another, and it is more indicative of Allah's power. This does not mean that the world or anything in it is eternal. Allah is the only eternal Being. But it means that Allah has always been creating one thing in place of another, by causing one thing to totally perish into another thing which literally begins to exist after its nonexistence. The Quran mentions that Allah created man after he was nothing, although it clearly mentions that man was created out of dust. There is, however, a question related to rearrangement of matter which has to be addressed. Many ask: How can we be sure that things literally begin to exist and are not simply a rearrangement of once existing components of matter? The answer is that those very components of matter are themselves subject to perish into other things, such as light, or energy in other components of matter. There is not one component of matter that is eternal and indestructible. All components of matter are subject to perish by specified means, upon which Allah brings something of a completely different nature into existence. Allah creates one thing in place of another by means of natural causes. He creates a tree in place of a seed, by means of natural causes such as water and sunlight, for example. This is how we should know Allah: through observing the spatiotemporal PARTICULARS, not the genus of matter. That is: this particular tree indicates Allah, and this particular man indicates Allah. The universe today is scientifically defined in a very wrong way too. The universe is defined today as a totality of space, time and matter. This is a false definition, because, as Ibn Taymiyya mentions, the space and time continuum do not exist extramentally, and because nothing exists beyond the particular parts of the world. All what exists of the universe is the particular moving objects along with their properties at this given moment for some observer. Yes, those objects are spatially and temporally related. This moon is above the earth, and a man exists before his child, for example. But there exists no substantial space time continuum out there. Therefore, the question "How does God exist before the beginning of the space time CONTINUUM at the Big Bang?" is a meaningless question. God does not exist timelessly. God existed before this particular world in time, and exists in a location above it, above His throne, subhanahu wa taala. He has always existed, and is always above, and is the reason that things come into existence and go out of existence. He creates them by His will and power from above, subhanahu wa taala. This is how children understand Allah's acts of creation, and this is the fitra.

Scientists wrote books which have been praised for their scientific efforts. They tried to remove the chance of there being a Creator. They forgot that at the same time they don't ask if random selection is the case why are our bodies filled with trillions of cells which have engineering background, which all work together in perfect harmony? Let alone the whole universe and the universal laws in it? When you try to calculate the chance for it to come to existence your calculator will most likely end up spitting at you in the face! And if you want to try to measure it with natural ingredients like energy and mater, you'll find yourself laying down on the track of a train. Meaning you can never ever measure the Creator with natural things and up losing time until death comes to you. Measuring the Supernatural is not possible with the natural instruments. It's like you take a measure tape and try find out the weight of what you want to measure. And now you know one of the wisdoms behind sending of the prophets and messengers. It is so you can come to know Who your Creator is and why He created you. May Allah reward and protect the brother shamsi and those who have a share in this great work, Ameen

Tbh I studied physics at uni and everything was proven by first principles or through certain assumptions that are reasonable. You're not really taught to blind follow anything at all so I disagree with Shamsi with the idea that there's two types of sciences. The theories in physics have led to many breakthroughs ..maybe I missed his point.

@Low I.Q. Researcher None of what you say makes any rational sense. You claim there are contradictions in the Quran, but are unable to provide any examples. You claim the earth is flat, when the Quran alludes to it being egg shaped, like an ostrich egg (Surah 79:30). You claim Muslims do not know the origins of Islam, when half the Quran and Sunnah describe it in minute detail. You attempt to cast aspersions on our Holy Prophet using Christian apologetic material, when much of it is self-contradictory & does not stand up to sustained scrutiny. For example, there is no concept of "adopted son" in Islam- it is not allowed- you would know that if you had read the Quran (Surah 33:4-5; Surah 33:40). As for why Muslims are humiliated, this is the fulfilment of prophecies that only strengthen the case for Islam: sunnah.com/abudawud/39/7 I can only suppose you are another "ex-Muslim" unable to recite the fatiha. There is no-one more deserving of pity. Please, educate yourself from authentic primary sources.

@Low I.Q. Researcher Are you going to attempt to refute any of my rebuttals, or have you admitted defeat? P.S. When I was at university, our small ISOC had tens of science PhD's. Several of our family friends are PhD's. At my university in the UK, the entire engineering department was run by Muslim post-docs and professors.
