“You should be extra for the aesthetic” is sooo the vibe I’m going for in 2023. I bought light pink hiking boots bc I tend to look at my feet when I walk and the color just makes me happy in the midst of the chaos

You're so incredibly relatable, and I also need to romanticize little things in my life to make it through. I was reading by my window facing the woods the other day and started crying at the feeling of peace/contentment, and how happy I was to be transported into this book's world. (I also cry when flowers smell good or a song I love plays; it's embarrassing and so hard to mask). Anything to slow down and avoid facing the reality of my own existence, and all the bad feelings that come with it. Engaging deeply in interests is the best fantasy escapism I've found. Another excellent video - would love to see your older books if you feel comfortable. They're so interesting.

I’m a new viewer as a 15y introverted girl I must say your channel is awesome and healing in a way. Your videos are really amazing so is your voice, it’s relaxing, I had trouble finding someone who didn’t irritate or overwhelm me with their energy and way of speaking. You sound calm and collected. Just perfect for a whirlwind life. And I like that you’re not arrogant, really magnetic personality if you ask me, neither boring. I’ve been around two days before new year started and rewatched your videos especially where you talk over and over. AMAZING!! keep being you.

I was inspired watching your channel to try out writing two columns of text within a page and I must say I quite enjoy this method. I went back and reviewed some of my older notebooks where I wrote across the pages entirely rather than dividing the pages in the middle. I observed a lot of wasted space on the paper. I also noticed writing two columns of text forced me to write smaller. Now, my bulky hands fashioned from years of labor working on a ship could never produce the neat, yet tiny print, that encapsulates your handwriting. However, writing smaller also seems to force me to write neater, thereby improving my handwriting overall. So, in what has became rather long winded, I'd like to thank you for therefore mentioned inspiration. I'm not as artsy as you are but I appreciate neatness and your videos have been a guide to help me clean up my journals.

What you say at the end about how you engage with your special interests was beautiful. I loved watching you go through your old notebooks and hope you do the older notebooks sometime. This video was so comforting to watch (as are all your videos).

Megan, if you would be willing, I would LOVE to see a vid of your previous books! I know you said you made all your vids private, but I was so inspired by your OG grey notebooks! I love the walk through your books - you're so happy! Thanks for considering! Hugs💕

i'm going through your attic archives for what feels like the thousandth time because they've quickly become my comfort videos this year. i just wanted to stop by and say that "the dog is doing me a concern out of the corner of my eye" has never failed to make me laugh out loud so far.

I have a question. How did you succeed in your KZfaq comeback? Now that you mentioned it, I can see how your beginning card of the Attic Archives is almost like a mission statement of what you want to share…. It lays out your purpose and objective. I am fascinated with vlogging because sometimes the task feels overwhelming. Life is a huge thing; how do people break it down and remember to film and have an end product that makes sense [when life doesn’t make sense]?

Thank you for your message at the end. I didn't know how much I needed to hear that it's okay to have the interests that you have, and to enjoy whatever it is you're doing as you go through life.

the end part made me a bit teary. thank you for being here and sharing your perspective on the world with us. the earliest sign of our parasocial relationship that i can find is from a tumblr post in 2015, and while i remember literally zero of that time period, i'm grateful to know that you were there.

I love the last part of this video. The word "romanticise" has a rather negative connotation for a while now but it matters when life passes by so quickly, that I often struggle to even remember what happened. Therefore, self-reflection becomes harder. Videos like yours inspire me to slow down and appreciate the small things in my life. It's not an immediate action but I try. Thanks for sharing your old notebooks and happy new year!
