@@rubyvids8857he’s completely right? Hitting water at a high enough speed is more or less the same thing as running into concrete. Surface tension, cohesive forces, and the incompressibility of water mean that if you’re going fast enough the water aggressively resists your attempt to pass through the surface. The faster you’re going, the more violent that resistance is. It definitely hurts, and if you’re going REALLY fast, it can easily kill you as easily as slamming into the ground could. This is why you still need a parachute if you jump out of a plane over the ocean. Real life is not Minecraft, water still causes fall damage 🤣

Super expensive for what it actually is. However considering this is from Audi to go with the new electric e-tron, and the amount of work and detail that went into making this thing. I figured it would either be just crazy expensive or a limited edition type thing you couldnt even buy without buying the new electric Audi first, which would really make it an expensive toy lol.. The hydrofoil feature looks like the best part too

But volkswagen is good I very firmly believe it now after i had a horrible almost fatal accident in my vw passat with another japanese sedan , i came out only with few bruises, scratches and jerks and nothing major but the other guy got his legs stuck in his japanese made tinfoil can screaming for hours prolly cuz vw used better parts and heavier/more sturdy metal build Idk 🤷🏻♂️ i could be wrong about the technicalities but no matter what ill always go for heavey german cars over ANYTHING ELSE

@jbellamy83 I imagine a reboot of Jaws would start like this... the opening scene starts with an e-foil out on the open sea a half mile out from the beach and a girl casually weaving back and forth while waving to her friends in the surf near the beach. She continues for a few moments before a rogue wave washes over the e-foil, then looking around she notices a shark fin rising out of the water about 50 ft behind her. She speeds up but the Great White shark catches her effortlessly and snatches her right out of the air, leaving the e-foil to go on slowly by itself for a few seconds before being chomped on by the shark. The only thing left behind is the e-foil remote left floating on the surface of the water (purposefully made air-buoyant for a surfer to not lose it if the strap becomes detached from the wrist. Obviously, the strap is not shark-proof) as the only thing to be found later by the coastguard.

The problem is that you are in the ocean and drop the remote. Even if the remote can float on water. You won't be able to stop that without remote and will go far away in ocean from remote and remote too will float away from you far away with waves, you won't be even able to spot it. If the remote sinks. You lost it. Only God knows what will happen then.

Cheapest one from China are around that price without shipping and without electrical propulsion. Cheapest electric one are 8K with shipping and possibly duty fee on top. I wouldn't want the cheapest one and the good one start at 10K. Once you pay for shipping and duty fee it's well over 10K.

If that e-foil hits you in the head or anywhere, when you fall off, you're dead. A normal surfboard is dangerous enough but this e-foil is going to behead someone. Earlier this year an experienced world class surfer, Mikala Jones, died in a freak accident: "...Jones had gone out into the ocean Sunday morning during a trip to the Mentawai Islands off the western coast of Sumatra when his surfboard fin cut his femoral artery, said his father, dentist Dr. John Jones..."

Exactly. A few years ago I was learning how to surf in Kauai and I'd be falling of the board all of the time, getting hit in the head or the leg etc. One time I fell off the board and my board hit a girl on the head from about 15 feet away from where I fell off. It was crowded that day but surfing is dangerous and it doesn't matter how good of a surfer one is because once you fall off and a wave washes over you, you are at the mercy of the ocean. @@paulodwyer5599
