The difference between MJ and everyone else is "reverence". A lot of players are respected, but Jordan is revered. Like Ali and Bruce Lee. They are one of one.

@@huwdavies-tallon3305 If you think about it, it's all in our minds and what is created. The media pushes them, talks about them, shows a lot of their images and videos, non-stop talking about them. Then when you see them or get close to them, your mind is messed up, because all the hype was in your brain and now that it's in person, you're trying to compute it in real time. Hence the "glow effect". The opposite is true of people you don't care for, they're not pushed in story lines, clips, etc.. if you met them you're like "okay, cool you're Jim Michaels" or whoever, no big deal. It's the degree of the push they get on the media that affects the reaction you would get in person. You meet your idols, your mind is gonna be your own hype man.

@GoGetYourShinebox
@GoGetYourShinebox 3 ай бұрын
For me he is the most underrated for not getting in that top 50 list which was made in the mid 90s. Dominique was a world class player during the mid-late 80s, a terrific scorer who could cause any team a problem. I put him as #2 in the GOAT dunkers too, just ahead of Jordan (Nique should've beaten MJ in the 88 slam dunk contest, his last dunk was def a 50), but it was in Chicago so....

And YES Absolutely it was like he was walking in regular speed and all the ppl around him were moving in slow motion. And Charles Oakley was right behind him 😅. True story. I didnt speak to Mike but i did chat with Oakley. Was much nicer than i expected. I Felt the same. Im from Chicago born in 90 but my dad was fortunate enough to take us to most of the all star games growing up. I caught Jordans Last all star game when he came down and hit that shot and then Kobe came down and ruined the night lol. I remember Bow Wow and Jermaine Duper were sitting behind us and the clothing line iceberg was very popular. The cartoon shirts and Bow Wow had bugs bunny on his shirt and the fans was calling them homo and stuff. But when Jordan touched that court it was even more magical than when he was in Chicago. I was also too young to understand the moment but those memories are something I will forever hold close.

LeBron Aura was crazy too when he was first drafted and first few seasons in Cleveland. Shaq Aura was cray aswell. I would say Kobe but he try to be like Mike too much. Maybe after Kobe retired and his last game his Aura was insane. But this new generation of players has no chance to accomplish that thanks to the internet trolls. You can agree or disagree. I can only imagine the glow coming off MJs aura cuz I could see something similar when I saw Ken Griffey Jr. My dad took me and my 2 older cousins to see the Cincinnati Reds play. Our seats were more middle first base line and even tho Griffey was a distance away in the in the outfield you could feel his energy...shits crazy! There was a buzz in the air just from his mere presence and the game hadn't even started. I remember me and one of my cousins was like "that's really Ken Griffey Jr. out there!😄" And it was him in all his glory...hat the back, sunlight hittin the 💎 in his earring from like 120 yards away. He went 0 for 3 that game but just to see to that swing of his in person is indescribable. MJs Aura gotta be 3 or 4 times that...thats some wild shit!

If you put together all of the stories and comments on MJ … Larry calling him God playing basketball and multiple other NBA players that played against him saying he had a glow, should affirm and remove all doubt that he’s a human that transcended in his warrior spirit into a supernatural being walking amongst us

AI said it best in his HOF speech..MJ was different. No one comes near his aura.

I met him 2 times, as a waterboy and his basketball camp and for me it was the glow. Then when he asked me how I was doing and put his hand on my shoulder I legit thought I was in a different world.
