Thankyou so much for this valuable information. It’s the opposite of what I was told last week after a sever concussion followed by seizures. Overall, I am already recovering well.

Hey Concussion Doc, I purchased your course and am following the instructions for each module very closely, including doing the exercise! But my question is that since I have insomnia as concussion symptoms as well, will exercise still help if I'm not sleeping well? I feel like the answer is yes and that in the long term sleep will improve as well. But also it makes me a lot more fatigued during the day which can worsen symptoms

Exercise is important and so is sleep. So if you aren't sleeping well you should still exercise. Also, exercise promotes good sleep!

Should we avoid work if we still have concussion after 5 weeks? If every task is important and stressful for deadlines etc rather than easy going emails.

Well it's one of those "everyone is different" scenarios. If you are finding it difficult and making things worse, then the answer is probably yes. BUT that being said, it's not about just not going to work...it's about using that time to work on recovery and gradually increasing your cognitive load and increasing work

Is there any hope for PCS pots patients?
@CompleteConcussions
@CompleteConcussions 2 жыл бұрын
Yes! In fact, it seems that PCS POTS may be more heavily tied to concussion symptoms vs. regular "idiopathic" POTS. Recent research has suggested that post-concussion POTS goes away once symptoms go away - so the net result is treat the underlying drivers of persistent symptoms (and in the case of POTS - ANS dysregulation) - Check out the link to my workshops in the description as we cover this

@@CompleteConcussions This reply has been life saving. I had a concussion with LOC for 2 mins 6 months ago and developed pots symptoms 3 months out. I was lead to believe that it was damage to brainstem and would be permanent. I'm absolutely terrified that I will have this for the rest of my life. Im only 28 years old.

@@CompleteConcussions Thanks for getting back to me. Is the research saying that this is a Vagal Nerve injury and it may heal for some? Or is it some form of trauma response? I just need a success story to continue the fight but they are few and far between.

Treadmill ? and or bike?
@camillahare7855

I started off by using a stationary bike - because being on the treadmill/standing up would automatically spike my pulse and i wasnt able to get it down to resting. As i increased my tolerance, I started using the treadmill and other types of exercises :)
