Hey I set up some links for products similar to the ones I use. You can support the channel (no extra cost for you) by purchasing stuff through the links. As matter of fact it doesn't matter what you buy, so go buy your silly halloween stuff right now, or perhaps christmas presents if you are an absolute lunatic. Thank you! -Lukas

I'm stopping at 10. Some minutes in to say that I love the cardboard details but really love the detail work of the ground edges. I hate when I see cuts that look so uniform on the base so your hacking at the foam looks much more real. Now I shall continue. Thanks! Great work!

Glad you like the rock textures. This time I actually made less cuts and hacks and I think it looks better than some of my other "stone hill" scatter where I made too much deep textures. Better rip off large chunks than lots of tiny cuts, at least that's what I've learned.

Thanks! Modularity is good, there is no "why am I wasting 10 hours to craft this thing that will be used a total of 0.5 times" thoughts Right now I'm doing a dwarven stronghold. Parts of the keep will be the modular castle keep. Fits right in, I'll just make some suitable dwarven battlements to slap on top instead of the normal roof.

When hot glueing two pieces that move a lot, you can use a tiny strip of tape to hold them together. You can also spin the tip of the glue gun around the final point of contact a couple of times to ensure the strands of thin glue don't pull.

You are better than most of the crafters: 1. You use scrap matterials, that is what craft is about, it is OK to combine knowledge and modelism stuff but you need to adress it focused on your public target, things that most of youtubers dont do. 2. Reinforcemnt: you have some tricks like hotglue small cardboard areas, very important. 3. You actually how to dry brush and other paint basic stuff, with no: lets just pass the brush and see how it turns out all naste of several others, or they are like: lets make the was fix all my mistakes. 4. You use a variety of matterials to make the same piece (a rock or tree for example) depending on the build, that is nice optimization. 5. You are a potato, we all are potatoes.

I'm late to the party by several months. I recently found your channel and have been watching a bunch of your videos. I'm a savage, does that mean that I might be able to paint like that too? Lol All joking aside, you asked what we thought of the no measurements. I like it in general, however.... some would be very handy, like knowing the height of the thickness of your foam. I'm guessing 2" or maybe 2½" foam. That's important to know so we can get the proper height per floor. I was also wondering how you knew the other model (castle?) would fit? Was that because it was measured it to be the same, the thickness of the material forced it that size, or was it just a happy little accident?

@margaretgordon7481
@margaretgordon7481 4 жыл бұрын
That might work, although wouldn't that be a bit more risky safety wise seeing as you are heating up a much thicker piece of metal? It would take much longer to cool down to safe level? I'd favour using a long piece of straight wire, same as the needle but the length removes the need to use a tissue to hold it. Just a thought 👍🏻
