Every time i watch this video, i see my mother among those stars in the skies and me as a kid wishing for her to come back to earth.

This makes me wanna cry, but I can't. Not because of the lyrics, the way it makes me feel and how it sounds. It gives me the feels of interstellar that so much time has passed by and how the even the kids are singing about how stars and songs are changing in a way. This just makes me feel so weird and almost depressed in a way

First heard this on BBC Radio 6 the other week, simply phenomenal. I'm familiar with MGMT and Johnny Marr but hadn't really heard The Avalanches before, sounds like I've been missing out...

Never heard of the avalanches before but when you bring together one of my favorite bands and the guy behind the best riffs of another favorite band(modest mouse) you have my attention

I feel like I am sitting on a cloud way above the world

The subject matter of the lyrics is so grounded. They illustrate the recognition of the person you were FOR someone else. "and now the stars are rearranging" The conept of 'star crossed lovers' is now changing, what is seen as a done deal by the heavens is now gone. Aside from that they dip so well into the beauty that great music shoudl always attempt to. I feel energy in the part of my heart that one would wish would always feel warm true attention. Graceful is how I would describe the most prominent qualities of some of The Avalanches greatest works.

every Avalanches album is life-changing in one way or another.

This song made me cry and really let go of what I was so desperately trying to hold on to, which was a person that did not care about me at all.

Great idea of me to decide to listen to all these beautiful songs in my playlist while i am sewing, crying from how they make me think and feel, and the present. I think about how strong i am and all the things i have gone through, and been going through, but i am PUSHING, to be stronger, and i am fighting to have a good future...and it's working. it's not so bad that i am crying, but damn, i can't work on my thing i am making with all these little tears of thankfulness piling up.
